Public Comments: One person provided comments related to the proposed Anaheim Sustainability Center at 1300 N. Lakeview Avenue. Public Hearing Items: ITEM NO. 2 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2016-05879 VARIANCE NO. 2016-05073 (DEV2016-00058) Location: 1330 West Pearl Street Request: The applicant requests to establish a group care facility within an existing apartment complex and a variance to permit less parking spaces than required by the Zoning Code. Environmental Determination: The Planning Commission will consider whether to find the project to be Categorically Exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act and Guidelines as a Class 1 (Existing Facilities) Categorical Exemption. The item was continued from the August 8, 2016 Planning Commission meeting. Resolution No. PC2016-076 (Henninger / Seymour) Approved, modified the language to Condition No. 4 to permit visitors to visit the facility on Saturdays and Sundays only. Added a condition of approval to state that (i) the facility shall be permitted to host one weekly alumni event on Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and (ii) all vehicles associated with the weekly event shall park on-site and shall not utilize street parking. VOTE: 5-0 Chairman Pro-Tempore Bostwick and Commissioners Carbajal, Henninger, Lieberman and Seymour voted yes. Chairman Caldwell and Commissioner Dalati were absent. SEPTEMBER 7, 2016 PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION AGENDA 09-07-2016 Page 3 of 3 ITEM NO. 3 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2090E VARIANCE NO. 2016-05075 (DEV2016-00071) Location: 1160 North Kraemer Boulevard Request: The applicant requests the following: (i) to amend a previously-approved Conditional Use Permit to permit a restaurant with outdoor dining, on-site sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages, and live entertainment within an existing commercial building; and, (ii) a variance to permit fewer parking spaces than required by the Zoning Code. Environmental Determination: The Planning Commission will consider whether to find the project to be Categorically Exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act and Guidelines as a Class 1 (Existing Facilities) Categorical Exemption. Resolution No. PC2016-077 (Seymour / Lieberman) Approved, modified Condition No. 9 adding language to limit the facility’s occupancy to 250. VOTE: 5-0 Chairman Pro-Tempore Bostwick and Commissioners Carbajal, Henninger, Lieberman and Seymour voted yes. Chairman Caldwell and Commissioner Dalati were absent.
