Chairman Daly called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency
to order at 5:23 p.m.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of
$311,199.71 for the period ending April 22, 1994, in accordance with the 1993-
94 Budget, were approved.
ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: There were no additions to agenda items.
ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST: No items of public interest were addressed.
PUBLIC COMMENTS - AGENDA ITEMS: There were no public comments on
Redevelopment Agency agenda items.
City Attorney Jack White stated that the next two agenda items are actually
hearings relating to the proposed resolutions authorizing eminent domain
proceedings. They are to be considered individually and handled as hearings.
1. 121: HEARING - CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY: Finding and
determining the public interest and necessity to acquire certain real property
interests in real property located at 214 S. Rose Street in the City of
Anaheim, and authorizing the condemnation of certain real property.
Submitted was report dated April 26, 1994 from the Redevelopment Manager
recommending adoption of the subject resolution.
Lisa Stipkovich, Executive Director of Community Development. Referring to
the staff report noted that the reason for the resolution of necessity is that
this is the last property to be acquired for the Area 5, Kaufman & Broad
project. In order to be on schedule, it does require that the resolution be
adopted tonight to be in compliance. Staff has been in negotiations with the
property owner and unable to reach an agreement on value but will continue to
negotiate even after the resolution is adopted. That is the reason for the
resolution of necessity.
Chairman Daly asked if anyone wished to speak either in favor or in opposition
to the proposed resolution; there was no response.
Chairman Daly closed the hearing.
Agency Member Daly offered Resolution No. ARA94 -3 for adoption. Refer to
Resolution Book.
