DISCUSSION:
Dave See, Principal Planner, referred to a letter received from the Anaheim
Elementary School District, which was addressed to the Planning
Commission, related to a proposed expansion of a school site near
Roosevelt Elementary School.
He indicated that the district is requesting a General Plan Conformity (GPC)
determination from the City to acquire the property located at 1428 East
Vermont Avenue. He stated that generally the process is reviewed and
approved administratively by Planning staff. However, in this case, the
GPC request requires action by the Planning Commission within 30 days
per State law, but the Planning Commission may, at their discretion,
delegate the decision to Planning Department staff. He indicated that staff
is in concurrence with the request.
The Planning Commission acknowledged receipt of said letter and
requested that Planning staff take appropriate action needed to comply with
State law requirements.
