A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM RATIFYING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT
APPLICATION AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE 2017/2018
DEPARTMENT OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL
GRANT PROGRAM FROM THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC
SAFETY THROUGH THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC
SAFETY ADMINISTRATION, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE ANAHEIM POLICE CHIEF TO EXECUTE
ALL REQUIRED GRANT DOCUMENTS, AND AMENDING
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR
2017/2018 ACCORDINGLY
WHEREAS, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (the "Grantor") has heretofore
invited public agencies, including the City of Anaheim, to submit applications to the Grantor for
the 2017/2018 Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and Office of Traffic Safety Grant
Program (the "Grant"); and
WHEREAS, on September 7, 2017 the Police Chief of the City of Anaheim, by and through
his designee, submitted an application on behalf of the City of Anaheim to the Grantor for said
Grant, which application sought Grant funds to undertake a project for the education and
enforcement of alcohol related laws and regulations (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, on September 29, 2017, the City was awarded Twenty Five Thousand Dollars
($25,000) in Grant funds for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the City is familiar with the terns, conditions and limitations of any such
Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City is willing and able to conform to each of the terms, conditions and
limitations imposed upon the City of Anaheim pursuant to said Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the annual budget of the Police Department
to include any funds awarded by the Grantor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
1. The submission of the application for the Grant by the Police Chief on behalf of the
City of Anaheim, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, to the Grantor
is hereby ratified and approved.
2. The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby agrees to accept any and all Grant
funds awarded to the City of Anaheim without further action of the City Council being required
therefore.
3. The City of Anaheim hereby agrees to comply with each and all of the terms,
conditions and limitations imposed by the Grantor upon said Grant, and the Anaheim Police
Chief, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute any agreements, assurances,
or other documents as may be necessary in connection with the acceptance and implementation
of the Grant.
4. The annual budget of the Police Department for Fiscal Year 2017/18 shall be
amended by increasing the appropriations and authorized expenditures in Anaheim Police
Department's restricted Law Enforcement Grant Fund by the amount of Grant funds awarded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 24 day of October , 2017, by the following roll call vote:

Moreno,Kring, and Faessel
