OF ANA1TELM (I) ACCEPTING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARD
FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADMINISTRATION OF THE UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, ([1) ACCEPTENG AND
AUTHORIZENG THE EXECUTION OF THE STANDARD
AGREEMENT EVIDENCING A GRANT FROM THE
CALIFORNL4 TRADE AND COMMERCE AGENCY OF
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, (llD APPROVLNG AND
AUTHORIZUNG THE EXECUTION OF THE OWNER
PARTICIPATION' AGREEMENT BY AND AMONG
KHJROY REALTY, L.P., THE ANAHEIM
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND THE CITY OF
ANAHEEVI AND (IV) AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF OTHER DOCL.'MENTS RELATED THERETO, ALL EN
CONNECTION gVITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE
ANAHEIM TEC~LNOLOGY CENTER.
WHEREAS, Kilroy Realty, LP. ("Kilroy") has recently purchased from Boeing North America,
Inc. an approximately twenty-nine and five-tenths (29.5) acre site (the "Site") which is (i) located
at the northwest comer of Miller Street and La Palma Avenue in the City of Anaheim and (ii)
within that portion of Redevelopment Project Alpha addressed in the Northeast Area Specific
Plan No. 94-1; and
WHEREAS, Kilroy, in conjunction with Koll Real Estate Group ("Koll"), proposes to develop
on the Site a business center designed and intended for user firms involved in high-technology
enterprises with high-density employment levels and high payrolls (the "Anaheim Technology
Center"); and
WHEREAS, in order to make the development of the Anaheim Technology Center economically
feasible, Kilroy and Kolt have requested that the City of Anaheim (the "City") and the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") provide certain financial assistance; and
WHEREAS, the City has applied to the Economic Development Administration of the United
States Department of Commerce (the "EDA") for a grant (the "EDA Grant") in the amount of
One Million Three Hundred Ihousand Dollars ($1,300,000) to be utilized to defray some of the
costs of constructing certain public infrastructure improvements related to the Anaheim
Technology Center; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C.
3121 et seq.), as amended, the EDA has awarded the EDA Grant to the City contingent upon the
