six specimen trees without obtaining City approval.

Exempt from the requirements to prepare additional
environmental documentation per California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15304 (b), Class 4
(Minor Alterations to Land).

OPPOSITION: A person spoke expressing opposition to the subject request, and also
submitted photos showing the condition of the trees prior to removal.
Staff noted that three pieces of written correspondence and two phone
calls were received from three residents in the neighborhood,
expressing opposition and concerns related to the permanent removal
of trees, impact to property values, the slope stability, and the types of
replacement trees that were planted.
IN GENERAL: Two persons spoke expressing concerns related to the subject request.

Request: City-initiated amendments to the General Plan
Land Use Element to create four new Mixed Use land use
designations and a new residential land use designation;
and Title 18 (Zoning) of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to
modify Chapters 18.06 (Multiple-Family Residential Zones)
and 18.32 (Mixed Use Overlay Zone) to implement the new
land use designations.
