ORDINANCE NO. 1910
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 17, CHAPTER 17.08, SECTION 17.08.070,
SUBSECTION (d); SECTION 17.08.080, SUB-
SECTION (a); AND SECTION 17.08.220, SUBSECTION
(f) OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, AND BY
ADDING THERETO SECTION 17.08.080, SUBSECTION
(d), RELATING TO ENCROACHMENT INTO AN EASEMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 17, Chapter 17.0-8, Section 17.08.070,
subsection (d) of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows: _
"SECTION 17.08.070 -- ALLEYS.
"(d) Where two alleys intercept or intersect, the
corners shall be cut either on a radius or
on a straight line connecting points on both
lot lines in conformance to :standard Plan
No. 130, 'Minimum Radius or Cutoff at Alley
Intersections.'"
SECTION 2.
That Title 17, Chapter 17.08 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby amended by amending Section
17.03.080, Subsection (a), thereof, and by adding thereto
Section 17.08.0 80, Subsection (d), said amended section and
new section to read as follows:
"SECTION 17.08.080 -- UTILITY EASEMENTS.
"(a) Where alleys are not required, utility ease-
ments shall be provided generally through
the interior of the block and/or adjacent
to the boundary of a subdivision in approxi-
mately the location that would be occupied
by an alley. The easements shall be ground
easements and/or overhang easements of widths
as determined to be necessary by the Director
of Public Utilities. Sewer and storm drain
easements may be required,of widths as
determined to be necessary by the City
Engineer.
"(d) Encroachments are permitted into easements
only after the processing of an encroachment
permit and approval by the City Council."

SECTION 3.
• That Title 17, Chapter 17.08, Section 17.08.220,
Subsection (f) of the Anaheim Municipal Code be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:

"SECTION 17.08.220 -- DEDICATED AREAS --IMPROVEMENTS.
"(f) To assure the City that all improvements
will be completed and lien holders paid,
a bond shall be furnished guaranteeing
faithful performance and guaranteeing payment
for labor and materials. The amount of such
bond shall be determined by the City Engineer
and the bond shall be approved as to form
by the City Attorney."
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed on -e-> within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim-,7�ual7 etin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, publ? s —!d .,anal.
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and�_after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in fulit, f�r-ce.
