APPROVAL OF MINUTES~ The minutes of the meeting of July 22, 1965 were approved°
CORR.ESPONDENCE: Chairman Coons read 'to the Commission the letter' to be mailed to
Mrs~ Mary Ellen Hare, Native Daughters of the Golden West~ thanking her' for the
California Bear Flag for the Convention Center° The check has been submitted to the
Finance Directoro
CONVENTION REVIEW~ Mr~ Liegler reported that helpful, and worthwhile information was
derived from the convention he attended in Chicago° Mr, Liegler pointed out one of
the most important tasks is the establishment, om papers of policies, rules and regula-
tions, and goals of the Anaheim Convention Center and Stadium and then, an early listing
of a rental schedule°
FOOD SERVICE ~ CONI~NTiON CENTER~ Mr~ Liegler stated there will be two types of food
service in the convention center~ one, the concessions~ and two, the catering~ There
have been a number of inquiries for the food service and all of these have been answered
explaining that we would prefer to handle the concessions oarselves but to contract the
food service to a reputable restaurant operator~ At this point, there has been discussion
only~
OPEN HOUSE ~ Commissioner C,arrier said he has a tentative meeting scheduled with Mr o
Tallis and Mro M~l~e~ of the Angels orga.nization~ p~ex¢ week,~ He will report to the
Commission after ~.hat meeting~
