AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE
TERRITORY KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS
• RIVERVIEW ANNEXATION NO. 2.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the
11th day of June , 19)
at 6, receive a written
petit o asking t certain new territory described in said pe-
tition be annexed to the City of Anaheim.
That before the filing of said petition, the proposal for
the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City
of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commission of the County
of Orange, State of California, and reported upon by said Boundary
Commission with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the
proposed boundaries, the non-conformance of proposed boundaries
with lines of assessment or ownership, the creation of islands or
corridors of unincorporated territory and other similar matters
affecting the proposed boundaries.
That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City
of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California,
and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited terri-
tory. That said petition contained a description of said territory
in words and figures as hereinafter in this Ordinance described.
That the City Council duly assembled at a --
regular meeting of said City Council held on the llth ay o
June, 1963 , did find that said petition at the time
it was i e anreceive was signed by the owners of not less than
one-fourth of the land in the territory by area and by assessed
value, as shown on the last preceding equalized assessment roll of
the County of Orange, State of California, in which said territory
is situated, and that said territory did not form a part of any
municipal corporation, and did find that said territory is con-
tiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory.
That on the 11th day of June 19 63 ,

adopted specifically describing the toundaries of the territory so
proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim and designating such
territory as Riverview Annexation No. 2

o'clock P.M. at the City Council Cumber in the City Hall in t e City
of Anaheim, as the day, hour and place for hearing of written pro-
tests to said annexation and when and where any person owning real
property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having
objections to the proposed annexation might appear before the City
Council of the City of Anaheim and present written objections to the
• annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, and directing
the City Clerk to publish or cause to be published a copy of said
resolution at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, for
two successive weeks prior to the date of said hearing, in a news-
paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated

in the City of Anaheim, to wit-, The Anaheim'Bulletin
of Anaheim, Orange County, Cali ornia, an —also—in a newspaper o
general circulation, printed, published and circulated outside of
the City of Anaheim, but in the County of Orange, in which is lo-
cated the territory hereinafter proposed to be annexed to the City
of Anaheim, to wit: Thf Placentia Courier and
directing that said pub ication Ee completed at least twenty (20)
days prior to the date of hearing hereinabove mentioned; and further
directing the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim to cause written
notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to
whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed
in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date
the proceedings were initiated, at the address shown on said assess-
ment roll or as known to said City Clerk, and to any person who has
filed his name and address and the designation of lands in which he
has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said City Clerk;
and that in the event that land within the territory proposed to be
annexed to the City of Anaheim is owned by a County, that the City
Clerk shall cause written notice of .such proposed annexation to be
mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such C,)unty, and directing
that such notices be given not less than twenty (20) days before
the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
That on the hour, day and at the plane specified in said
Resolution No. 63R-511 to wi.tz On the 23rd day of
July i '3, at the hour off' -.•00 o clock P.M. in
the City CouncilChamber in the City Bell in t e City of Anaheim,
California, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did meet and
assemble to hear and pass on all protests filed or received up to
the closing of the hearing on said protests and the City Council
did find that the resolution fixing the time and place of said
hearing was published by the City Clerk as therein directed, and
that written notice of such proposed annexation was mailed to each
person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is
assessed, or in which such person has any interest, by the City
Clerk as directed in said resolution. That written protests were
not made by the owner or owners of one-half of the value of the
territory proposed to be annexed according to the last equalized
assessment roll of the County of Orange, State of California, nor
were protests made by public or private owners equal to one-half of
the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
the City Council.
SECTION 2.
That the annexation of the territory included within the
boundaries of the Riverview Annexation No. 2
and more particularly described as follows, to wit

—0 That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows-
Beginning at a point in the existing City of Anaheim City Limit line, said point
being the Southeast corner of the North Sunkist Annexation to the City of Anaheim,
passed by Ordinance No. 1002, July 26, 1955 and filed with the Secretary of State
September 2, 1955 and recorded for record September 12, 1955 in the office of the
County Recorder of Official Records of Orange County, California. The Southeast
corner of the said North Sunkist Annexation being the intersection of the Northerly
right of way line of Anaheim -Olive Road (now known as Lincoln Avenue) (60 feet wide).,
with the Easterly right of way line of Sunkist Street (40 feet wide) as said street
widths existed at the time of the said North Sunkist Annexation; thence
1. North 00 10' East 1,161 feet, more or less, along the said existing City of Anaheim
City Limit line to an intersection with the South line of the North half of the
South half of the Northeast quarter of Section 12, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B. & M..; said point of intersection being in the existing City of Anaheim City
Limit line as established by the Sunkist -Rio Vista Annexation to the City of Anaheim,
passed by Ordinance No. 1405, October 13, 1959 and filed with the Secretary of State
November 13., 1959 and recorded for record November 19, 1959 in the office of the
County Recorder of Official Records of Orange County, California; thence
2. North 89° 52° East 2,637 feet, more or Less; along the last mentioned existing City
of Anaheim City Limit line being a portion of the said South line of the North half
of the South half of the Northeast quarter of said Section 12, to the Southeast corner
of said Sunkist -Rio Vista Annexation; thence
3. North 890 52, East 60 feet, more or less, leaving the existing City of Anaheim City
Limit line to an intersection with a line parallel with and 30.00 feet Easterly of the
West line of the Northwest quarter of Section 7, Township 4 South, Range 9 West,
S.B.B. & M.., thence
South 00 10' West 495 feet, more or less, along the last mentioned parallel line
to an intersection with the North line of the South five acres of the Southwest

quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 7; thence
5. North 890 521 East 1,290 feet, more or less, along the said Northerly line of the
South five acres of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 7
to an intersection with the Westerly line of Tract No. 4412, as shown on a Map re-
corded in Book 155, pages 9, 10, 11 and 12, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Maps, re-
cords of Orange County, California; thence
6. South 00 10' West 1,418 feet, more or less, along a portion of the Westerly line of
said Tract No. 4412, to the Southwest corner of said Tract No. 4412, said Southwest
corner being in the Northerly line of the existing City of Anaheim City Limit line
as established by the Wagner -Sunkist Annexation to the City of Anaheim passed by
Ordinance No. 1616, September 5, 1961, filed with the Secretary of State October 5,
1961 and recorded October 9, 1961 in the office of the County Recorder of Official
Records of Orange County, California; thence
7. Following along a portion of the Northerly line of the existing City of Anaheim City
Limit line, as established by said Wagner -Sunkist Annexation, the following courses
and distances: North 780 55' West 650 feet, more or less, South 110 05' West 39080
feet, more or less, North 780 55' West 3,400 feet, more or less, to the Southeast
corner of the aforementioned North Sunkist Annexation to the City of Anaheim said
Southeast corner being the point of beginning.

is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and in-
corporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, and is hereby designated as the Riverview
Annexation No. 2 to the City of Anaheim.
SECTION 3<,
That from and afer the effective date of this Ordinance
and the filing of a certified copy thereof with the Secretary of
State of the State of California, the annexation of the territory
herein described shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and
thenceforth such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and
purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the
effective date of such annexation, all property therein shall be
subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of
Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of the
existing indebtedness and liability of said City of Anaheim con-
tracted prior to or existing at the time of such annexation pursuant
to the written consent of the owners of property An said annexed
territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to the
adoption of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordi-
nance and cause the same to be published once in the Anaheim
Bulletin , a newspaper of general circulation, prince , pu -
is ed and circulated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage
it shall be in full force and effect.
