AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES FIND
THAT-.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did heretofore duly pass and adopt Resolution No. 206 --
Series 1961-62 in Reclassification No. 61-62-64
recommending an amendment of Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code and a change or changes in the boundaries of the zone or
zones hereinafter mentioned and described, after having held a
public hearing thereon In the manner and as prescribed in said
Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to consider such proposed
change or changes of zone or zones, and after having received
evidence and reports from persons interested therein, and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission
and summaries of Its hearings and did recommend a
of zone or zones as set forth Ir Said resolution;
did make findings

and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, report of
findings, summary of evidence and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission, the City Clerk did fix the 27th day of
February , 19 62 , as the time, and the Council Chamber
in the City� -Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place, for a
public hearing upon said proposed amendment to Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code and change or changes of zone or zones,
and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided In
said Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code,, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did hold and conduct such public hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did thereupon
consider the recommendation of the City Planning Commission, and
did adopt Resolution (s) No. (s) 62R-197 and 62R -30L , finding
and determining that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code should
be amended and that a change or changes in the boundaries of said
zone or zones should be made as set forth in said resolution(s);
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said Resolution (s)62R-304 &
62a-127 , certain conditions and requirements were made
as conditions precedent to the making of a change or changes of
said zone or zones; and
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to said change or
changes of zone or zones have been complied with,,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating
to Zoning be, and the same is hereby, amended by changing the
boundaries of the zones set forth in said Title 18 by adopting
a sectional Zoning Map or Maps showing such change or changes
as follows:
That all of the area situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows,
to wit:
Lot No. 105 of Tract No. 1.53, as shown on
a map recorded in Book 42, Pages 41 and 42
of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California.
now is RR -1, ONE -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, ZONE and that it be changed
to and incorporated. in C-1, .NEIGHBORHOOD-COMNIERCIAL,ZONE
subject to the following conditions:
1. That the existing residential structures on sub-
ject property shall either be removed or developed
to commercial standards of existing buildings, and
in the latter case, final building or remodeling
plans, including elevation plans, shall be submitted
to and approved by the City Council.
2. That a landscaped strip of a minimum width of 6 feet
shall be provided and maintained abutting the front
property line of subject property; that plans for
said landscaping shall be submitted to and approved
by the Superintendent of Parkway Maintenance; and
that said landscaping shall be installed prior to
final building inspection.
3, That a 50 -foot minimum building setback, from the
westerly boundary of the alley at the rear of sub-
ject property, shall be established and maintained
for any two-story construction; and that no windows
shall be installed in the rear of the second story
of any two-story structures.
4. That plans for any signs proposed to be installed
on subject property, other than unlighted signs
having a maximum area of eight square feet, shall
be submitted to the City Council for approval.
5. That off-street parking facilities shall be provided
as required by the Anaheim Municipal Code, prior
to final building inspection.
6. That any residential structures now located on
subject property shall not be used for commercial
nor combined residential and commercial use unless
remodeled to commercial standards.
7. That the owners of subject property shall:
(a) Improve the alley at the rear of subject prop-
erty to commercial standards, as required by
the City Engineer and in accordance with
standard plans and specifications on file
in the Office of the City Engineer, or --

(b) Deposit with the City of Anaheim, in lawful
money of the United States or in negotiable
securites endorsed payable to the City of
Anaheim, the amount estimated by the City
Engineer to cover the cost of improving said
alley,
8. That a sufficient building setback from the existing
alley shall be established to permit proper turning
radius into the parking spaces.

the side of the alley opposite the subject property,
to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works
and Superintendent of Streets, to protect the resi-
dential properties from damages to fences by cars
that might be turning into, or backing out of,
subject property into the alley.
SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby,
amended, and the property above described shall be excluded from
the zone in which it is now situated, and incorporated in and
made a part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said
City Zoning Map as amended is hereby adopted, and the City Engineer
is hereby directed to prepare a sectional zoning map to be added
to the City Zoning Map showing the changes hereby approved and
adopted.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper -of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage, it shall take effect.and be in full force.
