A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE
RECOMMENDATION OF THE LIBRARY BOARD OF THE
ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY TO ESTABLISH AND/OR
INCREASE CERTAIN FINES AND FEES
WHEREAS, the Library Board of the Anaheim Pubic Library, in its meeting of
June 11, 2018, recommended adjustment in the fines and fees as set forth below; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that certain of said fines and fees should be
established and/or increased at this time in the manner hereinafter specified; and
WHEREAS, the fees hereinafter adopted do not exceed the estimated reasonable
cost of providing the service for which the fee is charged; and
WHEREAS, the following fees have been considered at a duly noticed public
hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
1. That the fines and fees schedule establishing and/or increasing fines and fees as
set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference are hereby
established;
2. That the amended fines and fees set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto shall
become effective ninety (90) days following the date of adoption of this Resolution;
3. That from the date of adoption of this Resolution until amended or rescinded, the
fines and fees established by this resolution shall remain in effect:
4. The fees established herein shall upon the effective date of such fines and fees,
supersede any previously adopted fines or fees for the same services or items.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as inconsistent herewith, Resolution
No. 66R-286 and Resolution No.92R-133 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 19 day of June , 2018, by the following roll call
vote:
