Chairman McCulloch called the meeting to order at 10:02a.m.
PUBLIC COMMENTS — None
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Commissioner Wright made a motion to approve the April 24, 2008 Minutes. The motion was
seconded by Commissioner Keys. Motion passed.
ACTIVITY REPORTS
A. Golf Superintendent
Michael Lautenbach presented his report and answered questions.
Commissioner Gaby questioned what the main purpose of the Master Plans for Anaheim
Hills Golf Course. Michael Lautenbach stated the ultimate goal is to create a golf course
that is more playable, address speed -of -play issues, lengthen the course, take advantage
and show off the natural beauty of the location, and make the course the most
environmentally sensitive course in the area.
Michael Lautenbach stated new golf marshals have been hired.
B. Golf Course Superintendent
Dave Johansen presented his report.
C. Director of Golf
Bob Johns presented his report. Bob Johns stated he is still looking for a new Director of
Instruction. Bob also stated new awnings for the driving range at Dad Miller Golf Course
have been installed.

FINANCIAL REPORT
Michael Lautenbach stated April was a decent month. Michael stated rounds were down at
Anaheim Hills Golf Course and up at Dad Miller Golf Course. Michael stated overall revenues
decreased. Michael stated food and beverage revenues have gone down the past two months.
OLD BUSINESS
A. Golf Course Improvement Update
Michael Lautenbach stated two bids were received for the Dad Miller Golf Course
Clubhouse restroom renovation. Michael stated $115,000 will be budgeted for this project.
Michael stated this project will go to City Council on June 10, 2008. Michael Lautenbach
stated City staff is currently verifying information and checking references on the consultant.
Michael Lautenbach stated six proposals were received for the Master Plans at Anaheim
Hills Golf Course. Michael stated proposals range from $38,000-$775,000. Michael stated
City staff is currently evaluating all information on the architects. Interviews with the top five
architects will be conducted on June 23, 2008.
Michael Lautenbach stated City staff is working on a Memorandum of Understanding
between the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Union High School District for the 10th hole
project at Dad Miller Golf Course. Michael stated once Agreement is signed, project must
go to bid. Chairman McCulloch questioned if changing the 10th hole to a Par 3 would make
a difference. Michael Lautenbach stated changing the 10th hole to a Par 3 would not work
since other changes would also be necessary.
Michael Lautenbach stated the cart path by the 15th green at Dad Miller Golf Course is
complete.
Michael Lautenbach stated the structure to cover the new pump station at Dad Miller Golf
Course is almost complete. Michael stated they are awaiting the top of the structure to
complete the project.
Michael Lautenbach stated 124 players participated in the 2008 Anaheim Golf City
Championship that took place on April 26-27, 2008. Michael stated the City Championship
will be looked into and reconsidered for next year.
Michael Lautenbach stated the Pace -of -Play forms have been printed. Michael stated the
player assistants will go over the form with groups playing at Anaheim Hills. Michael stated
a time matrix has been put together to help player assistants figure out if players are on
track.

NEW BUSINESS
A. Budget
Michael Lautenbach presented the budget for 2008-2009 and the new green fee structure at
both golf courses. Michael stated the budget will allow bunkers and the course restrooms to
be redone at Anaheim Hills Golf Course. Michael Lautenbach presented a spreadsheet
showing that even with the green fee increase and Anaheim's golf courses still have some
of the lowest rates in the area for 18 -hole weekday, 18 -hole weekend and senior fees.
Chairman McCulloch made a motion to approve the Budget and the green fee increases.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wright. Motion passed. Michael stated
approved budget will go to City Council in June.
A. Replace Street Signs
Michael Lautenbach stated all old directional street signs to Anaheim Hills Golf Course will
be replaced.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman McCulloch made a Motion, seconded by Commissioner Wright, to adjourn the
meeting to June 26, 2008 at 5 p.m., at City Hall East, Conference Room #1. The Motion
passed. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:58 a.m.
