Chairman Bud Schultz called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENTS — None
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Commissioner Gaby made a Motion to approve the June 25, 2009 Minutes. Motion was seconded by
Commissioner Keys. Motion passed.
ACTIVITY REPORTS
A. Golf Superintendent
Michael Lautenbach presented his report and answered questions. Michael Lautenbach stated the
following:
• Introduced and welcomed new Commissioner, Don Heinbuch.
• Valley Crest Golf Course Maintenance completed the final phase of the Anaheim Hills Golf
Course bunker renovation.
• The new Club Car golf fleet arrived at both golf courses and the GPS system was reinstalled
in all golf cars.
• Staff is working on the specifications for the work at the 10th hole at Dad Miller Golf Course
and construction bid will be requested. The tee box will move to the left, next to the fence.
• Information on the new Season Pass Program for July 1 -December 31, 2009 at Anaheim
Hills Golf Course was placed on website and sent to complete database.
• SCGA rating committee scheduled a re -rating of the Anaheim Hills golf Course.
• Staff is looking into new point-of-sale software for both golf courses.
Commissioner McCulloch questioned if Disney resorts will promote golf courses. Michael
Lautenbach stated he is currently working with the concierge of various hotels and the Convention
Center.
B. Golf Course Superintendent
Dave Johansen presented his report.

C. Director of Golf
Bob Johns presented his report and answered questions. Bob Johns stated new mats will be
installed within the next few weeks.
Chairman Bud Schultz stated Sunday tee times are not being managed. Bob Johns stated he will
look into it.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Michael Lautenbach stated June was not a good month.
OLD BUSINESS
A. Casey O'Callaghan Master Plan Presentation
Casey O'Callaghan presented two Master Plans to the Golf Commission and answered questions.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Nomination of Chairman and Vice Chairman
Commissioner Gaby made a Motion to nominate Commissioner Keys as Chairman. The
Motion was seconded by Commissioner McCulloch. Motion passed.
Commissioner Gaby made a Motion to nominate Commissioner Don Heinbuch as Vice
Chairman. The Motion was seconded by Chairman Schultz. Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Gaby made a Motion, seconded by Chairman Schultz, to adjourn the meeting to
August 27, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course, Clubhouse Board Room. The Motion
passed. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
