Chairman Schultz called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENTS — None
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Commissioner John McCulloch made a Motion to accept the Golf Commission Meeting Minutes of
February 26, 2009. Minor corrections to be made were brought up by Chairman Schultz.
Commissioner Gaby seconded the Motion to approve February Minutes as corrected. Motion passed.
ACTIVITY REPORTS
A. Golf Superintendent
Michael Lautenbach presented his report and answered questions. Michael Lautenbach stated the
following:
• Meeting with Market Profiles, Inc. will be scheduled regarding a golf course market analysis
and an economic/financial analysis for the Anaheim Hills Golf Course master plans.
• LSA Associates, Inc. will provide a constraints and opportunities level analysis of the
biological resources issues on the Anaheim Hills Golf Course master plans.
• 2009 Anaheim City Golf Championship will occur April 25-26, 2009.
• Inventory of food and beverage equipment at both golf courses is complete.
• Four security cameras were installed in the Dad Miller Golf Shop.
Michael Lautenbach stated Casey O'Callaghan, Golf Course Design, is working on drafts for both
master plans for Anaheim Hills Golf Course. Chairman Schultz questioned when Casey
O'Callaghan will be presenting the drafts for both master plans to the Golf Commission. Michael
Lautenbach stated plans might be ready for the May meeting.
Michael Lautenbach stated the bid went out for a new golf car fleet at both golf courses.
Commissioner Gaby questioned how long the contract is for a new golf car fleet. Michael
Lautenbach stated the contract is for three years. Michael stated golf courses will be getting sample
cars to test.

Michael Lautenbach stated the Golf staff is finalizing a customer survey in conjunction with the
National Golf Foundation. Vice Chairman Wright questioned if the Golf Commission will see results
of survey. Michael Lautenbach stated the Golf Commission will be informed of the results.
B. Golf Course Superintendent
Dave Johansen presented his report.
C. Director of Golf
Bob Johns presented his report.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Michael Lautenbach stated February was not a good month and all revenues were down due to
economic factors and worse weather conditions than usual.
OLD BUSINESS
A. Golf Commission Outing
Golf Commission outing will take place after May Golf Commission meeting at Anaheim Hills Golf
Course.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Pace of Play for Anaheim Hills Golf Course
Chairman Schultz provided a few suggestions to improve pace of play at golf courses which include:
• Paint directions or post directional signs on cart path
• Extend the cart path towards greens
• At Hole #6, provide a "Park on Left" sign
• At Hole #13, provide a "Park on other side of fence" sign
• Test period for one month swapping holes and using Hole #10 as starting hole.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner McCulloch made a Motion, seconded by Commissioner Gaby, to adjourn the meeting to
April 23, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course, Clubhouse Board Room. The Motion
passed. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:36 p.m.
