Chairman Heinbuch called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENTS - None to report.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Commissioner Schultz made a Motion to approve the January 27, 2011 Minutes. Motion was
seconded by Commissioner Keys. Motion passed.
ACTIVITY REPORTS
A. Golf Superintendent
Michael Lautenbach presented his report.
Chairman Heinbuch questioned if the Food & Beverage contract at Dad Miller Golf Course
has expired. Michael Lautenbach stated the current contract will expire in June and there is
one more 6 -month option to renew through December 31, 2011.
B. Golf Course Superintendent
Dave Johansen presented his report and answered questions. Dave Johansen stated both
golf courses will be aerified —Anaheim Hills Golf Course on March 28, 2011 and Dad Miller
Golf Course on April 3, 2011.
Commissioner Schultz stated sand traps at Anaheim Hills Golf Course are too fluffy in some
sections. Dave Johansen stated he will look into this.
Commissioner Schultz stated fairways at Anaheim Hills Golf Course are uneven in many
areas and asked if the fairways can be mowed more evenly. Dave Johansen stated there
are multiple different species of turf in the fairways. Due to specific, seasonal growing
patterns a full even playing surface cannot be provided but overall the fairways are in very
good condition at the moment.

FINANCIAL REPORT
Compared to the prior year, January was a very good month with rounds and revenues up in all
areas. February was a good month with a slight increase in overall rounds.
OLD BUSINESS
A. Anaheim Hills Golf Club Requests
Michael Lautenbach stated City staff has met with the Anaheim Hills Golf Club board twice
since January and has received positive feedback from the two meetings.
Michael Lautenbach stated he is also working with the Anaheim Hills Golf Club to coordinate
a Ball Drop fundraising event in October 2011 for the AHGC member guest event.
Commissioner Schultz stated members of the Anaheim Hills Golf Club do not understand
why members of The Club at Anaheim Hills receive lower green fees at certain times.
Michael Lautenbach stated membership fees of The Club at Anaheim Hills go directly to the
City while membership fees for the Anaheim Hills Golf Club stay with that club. So far over
$23,000 in membership fees have been collected from The Club at Anaheim Hills which
help offset some of the benefits offered to its members.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Dad Miller Golf Course 50 -year Anniversary
Michael Lautenbach stated Dad Miller Golf Course will have its 50 -year anniversary this fall
and asked Golf Commissioners for any suggestion regarding the celebration.
B. May Golf Commission Outing
Commissioner Gaby made a Motion to hold a tour of Dad Miller Golf Course at 5:00 p.m. on
May 26, 2011. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Keys. The Motion passed.
C. Jr. Golf Tournament
Chairman Heinbuch presented a request by the Aletheia 2012 Project for a Junior Golf
Tournament. Michael Lautenbach stated he would take a look at the information. Chairman
Heinbuch stated he would have the group get in touch with Michael directly.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Schultz made a Motion, seconded by Commissioner McCulloch, to adjourn the
meeting to April 28, 2011 at 5:00 p.m., at Anaheim Hills Golf Course, Clubhouse Board Room.
The Motion passed. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:52 p.m.
