AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE
TERRITORY KNOWN AND DESIGNATtD AS

THE CITE' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:

That the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the
lUh day of July , 19_5_9, receive a written
petition asking that certain new territory described in said pe-
tition be annexed to the City of Anaheim®
That before the filing of said petition, the proposal for
the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City
of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commission I'�of the County
of Orange, State of California., and reported upon by' said Boundary
Commission with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the
proposed boundaries, the non-conformance of proposed boundaries
with lines of assessment or ownership, the creation of islands or
corridors of unincorporated territory and other similar matters
affecting the proposed boundaries.
That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City -
of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California,,
and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited terri-
tory. That said petition contained a description of said territory
in words and figures as hereinafter in this Ordinance described,
That the City Council duly assembled at a

regular meeting of said City Council held on the lLLthday of
July , 19=52_, did find that said petition at the time
it was filed and received was signed by the owners of not less than
one-fourth of the land in the territory by area and by assessed
value, as shown on the last preceding equalized assessment roll of
the County of Orange, State of California, in which said territory
is situated, and that said territory did not form a part of any
municipal corporation, And did find that said territory is con-
tiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory.
That on the 1 th day of July , :L9_29_.'
at a. regular meeting of said City Council of the
City of Anaheim, Resolution No. 5363was duly passed and adopted
specifically describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed
to be annexed to the City of Anaheim and designating such territory
as 11 1,_ C- STT CERRITOS ANNEXATION"
and giving notice of such annexation and fixing the 2 th day of
Ail , 19 9 at the hour of 7 00 08clock P.M. .at
the ity Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim,
as the day, hoar and place for hearing of written protests to said
annexation and when and where any person owning real property
within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having ob-
jections to the proposed annexation might appear before the City
Council of the City of Anaheim and present written objections to the
• annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, and directing
the City Clerk to publish or cause to be published a copy of said
Resolution at least twice, but not oftener. than once a. week, for
two successive weeks prior to the date of said hearing, in a news-
paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated
in the City of Anaheim, to wit*. The Anaheim Gazette
of Anaheim, Orange County, California, and also in a, newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated outside of
the City of Anaheim, but in the County of Orange, in which is lo-
cated the territory hereinafter proposed to be annexed to the City
• of Anaheim, to wit a The Daily News of Garden Grove, Calif. and
directing that said publication be completed at least twenty(20)
days prior to the date of hearing hereinabove mentioned; and further
directing the City' Clerk of the City of Anaheim to cause written
notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to
whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed
in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date
the proceedings were initia.tedg at the address shown on said assess-
ment roll or as known to said City Clerk, and to any person who has
filed his name and address and the designation of lands in which he
has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said, City Clerk;
and that in the event that land within the territory proposed to be
annexed to the City of Anaheim is owned by a County, that the City
Clerk shall cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be
mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such count, and directing
that such notices be given not less than twenty 40) days before
the first public hearing on the proposed annexation. .

That on the hour, day and at the place: specified in said
Resolution No. K h_,,, to wi,to On the 25th___ day of
A�aust , 199 at the hour of 7:00 o° clock P.N. in
the City Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim,
California, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did meet and
assemble to hear and pass on all protests filed or received up to
the hour of 7:00 o°clock P.M. on said date and the City Council
did find that the Resolution fixing the time and place of said
hearing was published by the City Clerk as therein directed, and
that written notice of such proposed annexation was mailed to each
person to whose land within the territory proposed to be annexed is
assessed, or in which such person has any interest, by the City
Clerk as directed in said Resolution. That written protests were
not made by the owner or owners of one-half of the value of the
territory proposed to be annexed according to the last equalized
assessment roll of the County of Orange, State of California,, nor
were protests made by public or private owners equal to one-half of
the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
the City Council.
SECTION 2.
That the annexation of the territory included within the
boundaries of the PLANTT_A_Q]g,1RRTTOS
ANNEXATION, and more .particularly described as follows, to wit.

PLACENTJA-CERRJTOS ANNEXATJON
,hat parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of
California, being a portion of Sections 24 and 25 of Township 4 South, Range
10 West, So Bo Ba & M described as follows;
Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit lines, said point
being the southwest corner of the Southeast Annexation to the City of Anaheim;
as passed by Ordinance No. 1104 on November 27, 1956, and filed with the
Secretary of State on December 31, 1956; thence,
1. Easterly and northeasterly along the existing Anaheim City
Limit line to its'point of intersection with the east line of the west half
of the northwest quarter of Section 24, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
So Bo Bo & Mo, said point also being in the northerly right-of-way line of the
Southern Pacific, Railroad Company right-of-way (50 feet wide); thence,
2e Northeasterly along the north right-of-way line of the said
Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way to the point of intersection with the
easterly line of the Rancho San 'Juan Cajon De Santa Ana Rancho line, as said
Rancho line is recorded on July 9, 1897 in Book 2, Page 256 of Patients,
Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence,
3. Southwesterly along the last mentioned Rancho line to its
point. of intersection with the southerly right-of-way line of Struck Avenue

(40 feet wide) as .said Struck Avenue was conveyed to Orange County, California,
by Document recorded October 27, 1922, in Book 441, Page 337 of Deeds, Records
of Orange County, California; thence,
4. Southeasterly and easterly along the southerly right-of-way
line of Struck Avenue to its intersection with the east line of Lot 7 of the
Travis Tract, as shown on a map filed in Book 5, Page 120, .Miscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, California; thence,
5. Southwesterly along the east line of Lot 7 of said Travis Tract
to its point of intersection with the existing Anaheim City Limit lines as
established by the Katella Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed by
Ordinance No. 1119, "January 30, 1957, and filed with the Secretary of State
March 4, 1957; thence,
6. Northwesterly along the existing Anaheim City Limit line to a

point in a line parallel with .and 30.00 feet easterly of the west line of
Section 24, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., said point also
being in the existing City of Anaheim City limit lines as established by
the Placentia Ball Annexation to the City of Anaheim, as passed'by Ordinance
No. 1018, September 27, 1955 and filed with the Secretary of State; October 28,
1955; thence,
7. Northerly along the last mentioned parallel line and said
existing City of Anaheim City limit lines to the point of beginning.
