arriving on Friday, July 26 and leaving on Monday, August 5.

from a teacher and the principal at Emerson School. They would be willing to go
together and are both very excited for this opportunity.
Commissioner Filbeck reminded the Commission to start thinking of what gifts
they can donate for the trip to Mito. Gifts for the principals, for bus drivers,
shuttle drivers and others they meet on the trip.
VI. FUNDRAISER
Commissioner Lori Dinwiddie confirmed the fundraiser would be on Thursday,
March 28 at the Anaheim Brewery at approximately 6 p.m. They are going to sell
tickets in advance and will have a silent auction. If they cater through K&A and
allow for one drink ticket, the cost would be $40.00 with $20.00 going to
expenses. They can have anywhere from 75 to 80 people.
Commissioner L. Dinwiddie has two baskets with Japanese goodies that will send
home the Sister City vibe.
Chair Taline Cole asked Kimberly to see if the City Manager and the City Council
could give some tickets for the silent auction. She asked Commission and staff to
bring the items donated to the February ASCC meeting.
VII. PUBLIC COMMENT
Paul Kott donated items from Mito, Japan that were given to his father,
Dr. William Kott in 1976 while he served on the Anaheim City Council when the
Sister City relationship with Mito was established. He hopes the items can be
displayed somewhere in the City and if not, he would like to get them back.
Kimberly Kelemen received the items and is going to check where they can be
displayed, if not on the display on the 1st floor of City Hall, possibly at the
Muzeo.
Commissioner Anna Piercy suggested once they find a home for the items, that
the Commission send Mr. Paul Kott and Dr. William Kott a thank you note for the
artifacts and let them know where they ended up.
