A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2003R-132, NUNC
PRO TUNC, ADOPTING A NEW SCHEDULE OF SANITATION
CHARGES
WHEREAS, on June 10 and June 17, 2003, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
conducted a duly noticed public hearing to consider, inter alia, a new fee schedule of sanitation
charges including new or revised fees for (i) solid waste collection and disposal and (ii) wastewater
collection and disposal; and
WHEREAS, following the conclusion of said public hearing, the City Council did
approve the recommendation of the Department of Public Works as set forth in its staff report dated
June 10, 2003, concerning said fees, and did adopt a new fee schedule of sanitation charges for solid
waste collection and disposal and for wastewater collection and disposal in accordance with the staff
recommendation set forth in said staff report; and
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2003, the City Council did adopt its Resolution No. 2003R-
132 memorializing the action of the City Council adopting said new fee schedule of sanitation
charges for solid waste collection and disposal and for wastewater collection and disposal; and
WHEREAS, due to inadvertence and clerical error, said Resolution No. 2003R-132
failed to properly memorialize the action taken by the City Council on June 17, 2003, with regard
to adopting a new schedule of sanitation charges in that said Resolution inadvertently failed to set
forth the new schedule of fees for solid waste collection and disposal as adopted by the City Council
on June 17, 2003; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and intention of the City Council to correct said
inadvertent error by the adoption of this resolution amending Resolution No. 2003R-132, nunc pro
tunc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that City Council Resolution No. 2003R-132 be, and the same is hereby amended, nunc
pro tunc, by the addition of the following paragraphs thereto relating to sanitation charges for the
period commencing July 1, 2003:
"3. RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION CHARGES
(a) For standard collection (available to all residential dwelling units) consisting
of one solid waste collection per week from 110 gallon containers, the sum of
Sixteen Dollars and Three Cents ($16.03) per dwelling unit per month. For each
additional 110 gallon black trash barrel the sum of Eleven Dollars and Thirty-Six
Cents ($11.36) per month. For each additional 110 gallon brown yard waste barrel
the sum of Seven Dollars and Thirty-Nine Cents(S7.39) per month.
(b) For standard collection (available to residential dwelling units where storage
space or handling problems renders use of 110 gallon containers reasonably
impractical) consisting of one solid waste collection per week from 60 gallon
containers, the sum of Fifteen Dollars and Thirty-Five Cents ($15.35) per dwelling
unit per month. For each additional 60 gallon barrel the sum of Eleven Dollars and
Thirty-Six Cents ($11.36) per month. For each additional 60 gallon brown yard
waste barrel the sum of Seven Dollars and Thirty-Nine ($7.39) per month.
(c) For bulk collection (available only to apartments, condominiums, and mobile
homes which use the three cubic yard bulk containers supplied by the City's solid
waste collection contractor), the volume based fee per dwelling unit per month shall
be as follows:

(d) For bulk collection (available only to single family residences that generate waste
in excess of the capacity of four standard 110 gallon containers) consisting of three
yard bulk containers, the monthly fees listed in item 2(b) shall apply.
(e) For special collection (available to residential dwelling units which generate
solid waste of a character or quantity which requires special collection), the charges
shall be the reasonable cost of the removal thereof as determined by the Public
Works Operations Manager of the City of Anaheim.
4. COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION CHARGES
Solid waste collection services are available on a regularly scheduled basis to all
commercial and industrial establishments. Such establishments include motels, hotels, recreational
vehicle parks, restaurants, professional offices, club houses, places of entertainment, manufacturing
plants, private schools, and any other organization or business whether of a service, wholesale or
retail variety, including nonprofit organizations.
(a) For standard collection (available to all commercial or industrial
establishments) consisting of one solid waste collection per customer per week from
a maximum of four disposable or reusable containers, the sum of Thirty-Eight
Dollars and Sixty-Nine Cents ($38.69) per container per month.

(b) For bulk collection (available only to establishments which use the three
cubic yard bulk containers supplied by the City's solid waste
collection contractor), the following monthly fees shall apply:

(c) For special collection (available to establishments which generate solid waste

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fees set forth in this resolution shall be
effective on July 1, 2003.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as expressly amended and corrected
herein, Resolution No. 2003R-132 shall remain in full force and effect.
