1. CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:33 p.m. by Chair
Beas.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Vice Chair Wilson led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: Kerrin Cardwell, Housing Authority Manager, of the
Community and Economic Development Department reported information on the Housing Section 8
program.
4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None.
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Beas presented the May 9, 2019 Minutes to the Board Members
for changes or corrections. Board Member Brio made a motion to approve the May 9, 2019 meeting
minutes, seconded by Vice Chair Wilson; motion was voted in favor unanimously; Chair Beas accepted the
minutes.
6. PREVIOUS BUSINESS:
A. FY2019/2020 CDBG Public Service Funding:
1) Preliminary Funding Recommendation Update: Joe Perez reported that he received confirmation
from the Community and Economic Development Department that the funding allocation for
FY2019/2020 will be $283,331 which is the same level of funding allocated in FY2018/2019. The
funding recommendation completed by the CSB will form part of the City’s Federal Annual Action
Plan that the Community and Economic Development Department estimates will come forth for
approval on July 30th.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
A. FY2020/2021 Funding Cycle Update:
1) Non-profit agency site visits by CSB Members: Joe Perez stated the Board Members will be
scheduling site visits at the agencies that submit a funding application. Chair Beas requested that
the schedule be completed when all seven Board Members are present.

8. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Joe Perez reported Ethics and Brown Act Training has been scheduled for all
Boards and Commissions to attend on July 1st at 5:30pm. This training is mandatory for all Boards and
Commissions to attend. The training will be led by the City Clerk.
Joe Perez reported that Anaheim Coves Northern Extension opened on June 6 th and gave a brief overview
of the amenities.
