and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to amend the City Council Policy Manual to

NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. Policy No. 5.8 entitled, "Neighborhood Traffic Management Program" is
hereby deleted in its entirety from the City Council Policy Manual and replaced with the following:
"It is the policy of the City Council that when traffic-related issues are identified in a
neighborhood as a result of vehicle speeding, excessive traffic volumes, and/or unsafe
driving, that neighborhood residents will request assistance from the City in identifying
solutions.
Through this Council Policy, the City of Anaheim establishes the Neighborhood Traffic
Management Program. The City's Neighborhood Traffic Management Program documents
the process in which the City facilitates the development of traffic calming within
neighborhoods.
The Neighborhood Traffic Management Program is a"living document"in order to ensure
the most current industry-wide information and tools are available to City Staff. This
Neighborhood Traffic Management Program may be amended from time to time by the
Director of Public Works as new neighborhood traffic management and traffic calming
tools and techniques are developed, tested, and implemented, and the City continues to
gain more experience with the Program. The City's Neighborhood Traffic Management
Program is available to the residents of Anaheim, as adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim and is on file with the Director of Public Works.
The Neighborhood Traffic Management Program requires a significant amount of effort to
