DEVELOPMENT: Lisa Stipkovich A complete copy of the agenda for the meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency was posted at 3:05 p.m. on April 23, 1999, at the City Hall Bulletin Board, (both outside and inside the entrance to City Hall)containing all items as shown herein. Chairman Daly called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order at 6:13 p.m. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of $142,445.77 for period ending April 12, 1999 and $633,129.72 for period ending April 19, 1999 and $167,326.59 for period ending April 26, 1999, in accordance with the 1998-99 Budget, were approved. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: There were no additions to agenda items. ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST: No items of public interest were addressed. PUBLIC COMMENTS - AGENDA ITEMS: There were no public comments on Redevelopment Agency agenda items. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS 1-2 : On motion by Chairman Daly, seconded by Agency Member McCracken the following actions were authorized in accordance with the reports and recommendations furnished each Agency Member and as listed on the Consent Calendar Agenda. 1. 161: (1) Approving the Design Development Plans for the Downtown Veterans' Memorial, and; (2) approving and awarding a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, R. William Bane, for fabrication of a bronze bas-relief in the amount of$37,625; and authorizing the Executive Director to execute said Agreement, waiving any irregularities in the bid; and in the event the low bidder fails to comply with the terms of the award, awarding the contract to the second low bidder, and waiving any irregularities in the second low bid; and authorizing the Executive Director to approve fabrication change orders in an amount up to ten percent of the contract. Submitted was report dated April 27, 1999 from the Community Development Department recommending approval of the subject plans and award of the contract for fabrication of a bronze bas-relief. Lisa Stipkovich, Executive Director of Community Development briefed portions of the subject report. She noted this is the final review and that the Downtown Veteran's Memorial Advisory Committee unanimously approved the proposal. The one item they do not have is the final text that will be added to the memorial; the text will be submitted separately. Richard Turner, the artist, is present if there are any questions. Chairman Daly. There was a large and very active advisory committee who worked on the project and on behalf of the City he would like to thank all of those persons who volunteered their time to help create and bring forward this remarkable new monument which will be installed in the downtown area. 2. 161: Approving minutes of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency meeting held March 23, 1999, and April 6, 1999.
