A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING REQUALIFICATION FOR CITY
ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY
WHEREAS, changes or amendments have been made during the
year 1988-1989 to the Circulation Element of the City of Anaheim
General Plan; and
WHEREAS, inconsistencies have been identified and
proposed actions are being taken to correct the inconsistencies
between the Circulation Element of the General Plan of the City of
Anaheim and the Arterial Highway Master Plan of the County of
Orange; and
WHEREAS, those inconsistencies which have been identified
as capacity issues are identified on Exhibit "A" attached hereto;
and
WHEREAS, the Circulation Element of the General Plan is
in conformance with those of its adjacent governmental
jurisdictions and the County; and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted a uniform setback ordinance
to protect ultimate arterial highway rights-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted provisions for the
limitation of access to the arterial highway system in order to
protect the integrity of the system; an
d
WHEREAS, in order to participate in the Arterial Highway
Financing Program of the County of Orange, it is necessary that
the Advisory Committee of the Orange County Environmental
Management Agency be advised of any changes in the Circulation
Element of the General Plan, and be requested to adopt said
changes into the County Arterial Highway Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the County of Orange be informed and it is
hereby informed, that changes or amendments have been or will be
made in the Circulation Element of the General Plan of the City of
Anaheim to conform to the County Arterial Highway Master Plan.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 27th day of Junet 1989.
