A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF
UNDERSTANDING DATED JULY 21. 1988, BETWEEN
THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION,
GENERAL UNIT AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and
conferred with officials and employee representatives of the
Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit and
reached an understanding on the implementation of a change in
work schedule for the Water Treatment Operator job
c]assification and to amend Article 17, Salary Relationships
and Appendix "A", Wages of the Memorandum of Understanding
between the parties.
WHEREAS, a Letter of
July 21, 1988, between the parties
has been prepared and signed.
Understanding dated
reflecting said amendment
WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find that approval of said Understanding is in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated
July 21, 1988, between the Anaheim Municipal Employees
Association, General Unit and the City of Anaheim be, and the
same is hereby, approved and the Human Resources Director is
anthorized to sign said Understanding on behalf of the City of
Anaheim.

AND THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Aeaheim Manicipal Employees Association, General Unit, and
the City of Anaheim after meeting and conferring have reached an
uaderstaoding on the implementation of the following change in
work schedule for the Water Treatment Operator job
classification, effective July 22, 1988:
All employees in the classification of Water
Treatmeet Operator shall be covered by the terms
and conditions of this Lelter of Understanding.
Tile regular scbedule shall consist of ten (10)
work days aad four (4) days off. The work week
for purposes of FLSA and scheduling will begin at
12:0l am on Sunday,
Tile regular hours of work shall be from 7:00 am to
3:00 pm wltheut a ]anch break.
4 . Employees shall report to work at the benain
Fi]t~'ation Plant.
The shills shall be scheduled so that at least one
(~) Waler Treatment Operator shall be at the
filtration plant eight (8) hours per day seven (7)
days per week.
6. Wages fer Water Treatment Operator are adjusted as
follows:
3uly 22, 1988 through Jely 6, 1989
SALARY SCHEDULE: 1524 J-E
Article 17, Salary Relationships shall be amended
to remuve Laboratory Technician I and Laboratory
Techoician II from the Water Treatment Operator
beuchmark. Current and October, 1988, salaries
for these classes are unchanged.
This agreement and all other terms of the
Memorandum of Understanding shall remain in full
for(e and effect through 6th day of July, 1989.
