88-258RESOLUTION NO. 88R- 258 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REVISING CERTAIN POLICIES AND FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR CITY-WIDE PARK AND RECREATION PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AND ESTABLISHING JULY 1, 1988 AS THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF ~tEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has heretofore adopted Resolution No. 79R-2 establishing the policy and fees for City-wide park and recreation programs and services; and ~EREAS, the fees have been previously revised from time to time; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the public interest and welfare to further revise said fees and certain policies as hereinafter set forth; and ~tEREAS, the user fees and charges hereinafter established do not exceed the costs incurred by the City of Anaheim in providing said facilities and services. Anaheim amended NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of that Resolution No. 79R-2, as amended, be, and the same is hereby, as follows: 1. Section 1 is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 1 - PURPOSE practice provided It is the purpose of this policy to establish and clarify the of charging fees for certain recreation programs and services by the Anaheim Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. 2. Subsection e. of Section 4 is hereby amended to read as follows: e. Commercial and non-resident uses will be assessed fees higher than resident uses whenever collection and administration of such a fee structure is feasible. 3. Subsection b.1. of Section 5 is hereby amended to read as follows: b. Programs/Class 1. Self-supporting - classes where fee is charged with 70% of the monies collected paid to instructor through a contract agreement. The remaining 30% retained by the Department to support supplies and program administration. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of the amendments set forth herein shall be July 1, 1988. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 28th day of June, 1988.
