A RESOLUTION OF 2'HE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF
ANAHEIM YACATING PORTIONS OF CHESTNUT STREET
AND HELENA S~REET. (86-5A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS,
vacation was posted
and
notice of a public hearing to consider said
and published in the manner prescribed by law;
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of May, 1988, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WIIEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of portions of
Chestnut Street and Helena Street, more specifically described as
follows:
All that certain real property in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, being
portions of Chestnut Street (formerly 2 Street
South), and Helena Street (formerly Adelaide Street),
as shown on map of The Langenberger Tract, recorded
in Book 1 at Pages 550 and 551 of Miscellaneous
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point, said point being the
intersection of the Northwesterly line of Chestnut
Street (60 feet wide), with a line parallel with and
59.00 feet from, measured at rigEt angles to, the
centerline of Harbor Boulevard (realigned), as shown
on Parcel Map No. 84-229, as filed in Book 194, Pages
22 and 23 of Parcel Maps, records of Orange County,
California; thence South 92 50' 45" East, 61.54 feet,
along said parallel line to a point in the
Southeasterly right-of-way line of said Chestnut
Street, said point being the beginning of a
nontangent curve, concave Southeasterly, having a
radius of 11.00 feet, and to which point a radial
line bears North 40' 50' 08" West; thence
Northeasterly 5.05 feet along said curve, and said
Southeasterly right-of-way line, through a central
angle of 26~ 17' 01"; thence North 75° 26' 53" East,
284.70 feet along said Southeasterly right-of-way
line to the Southerly terminus of that certain course
called out as North 14~ 33' 07" West, 22.50 feet per
Parcel 1, of Instrument No. 86-490779, recorded
October 17, 1986 in Official Records of Orange
County, California; thence North 14~ 33' 17" West,
22.50 feet; thence North 75~ 26~ 53" East, 76.06 feet
to the Westerly line of Parcel 2, per said Instrument
No. 86-490779, the previous two courses being
measured along the Westerly and Northerly lines,
respectively, of said Parcel 1; thence North 14~ 27'
38" West, 57.50 feet along the Westerly line of said
Parcel 2 to the most Southerly corner of Lot 28,
Block E5 of said Langenberger Tract; thence South 75c
26* 53" West, 360.66 feet along the Northwesterly
right-of-way line of said Chestnut Street to the
Point of Beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUIION is approved and adopted by tile
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 3rd day of May, 1988.
