The City states that this is the best deal and the only way to get more would be to nix the stadium and the Angels, But That is NOT True! The City didn't try to "get more"...they simply catered to Arte Moreno. Maybe the Samuelis/Ducks, or Disney, or a developer would have offered more for the property and then they could lease the stadium to the Angels. Then the City gets alot more $$$ and the Angels stay and play in Anaheim! But the City didn't ask for other offers...they didn't even try! The property is being sold to SRB, not to the Angels, yet the deal includes a "promise" from the Angels to play in Anaheim for the next 30 years. What if the city sells to SRB, then SRB sells to someone else in 2,5,7 years from now, then the Angels decide to move to "where ever". What can the city do to force them to stay?? There are a lot more negatives than positives in this deal. The council should put the brakes on voting to approve this deal until many more terms are properly completed!
