Dear Mayor Harry Sidhu and Members of the Anaheim City Council,
My family and I totally support the Council’s decision last Tuesday to move forward with selling the Stadium
property. We have been Anaheim residents for over 55 years, and this is very important for keeping the Angels
in Anaheim through 2050, and beyond, while also realizing the vision for the Platinum Triangle without
spending any General Fund Dollars.
The Stadium Development Plan will bring over 5,000 much-needed new housing units, 777 of which will be
fully interspersed affordable units throughout the property; allowing families at all economic levels the
opportunity to live and work in Anaheim. In addition, a new signature seven-acre park along with over five
acres of parklands will be paid for, and maintained by, the property developer and available to all residents.
This will ensure economic growth in our City for years to come, creating jobs, open spaces, and creating a sense
of community while giving the residents a shared vision, creating a positive sense of community and giving
people something to rally around.
It is past time that we support a project that brings new jobs and revenues to help the long-term recovery of our
City. This project creates tens of thousands of construction jobs, many of which will prioritize hiring Anaheim
residents. It will also generate millions of dollars in new revenues to help the City pay for Street Maintenance,
Police & Fire Services, and more.
I am proud to see our City Leaders focus on approving projects that will strengthen not only the future of
Anaheim, but the futures of our children as well.
Your support for this project shows vision and leadership while focusing on the future where we as the public
should direct our energy for something that will benefit the city for years to come.
Please vote YES on Agenda Item 19. This is a great deal for Anaheim and our residents.
Sincerely,
1
