A RESOLUTION OF THE C1TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN
DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 2003-00413, EXHIBIT
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the recommendations of the
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of November, 2003, the City Planning Commission
of the City of Anaheim did hold a public hearing to consider a General Plan Amendment. The
General Plan Amendment does consider changing the land use designation for the area of land
consisting of approximately 2.35 acres located on the south side of Broadway, 756 feet on the
west side of Vine Street, 125 feet on the north side of Santa Ana Street and 756 feet on the east
side of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and further described as 802 to 808 East
Broadway, 801 East Santa Ana Street and 409 to 421 South Vine Street and also including the
Santa Ana Street right-of-way between the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and Vine
Street; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning Commission did duly adopt
its Resolution No. PC2003-159 containing a report of its findings, a summary of the evidence
presented at said heating, and recommending that said Amendment to the General Plan
designated as Amendment No. 2003-00413 be adopted by the City Council changing the land use
designation for the aforedescribed area to "Medium Density Residential" in accordance with
Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of evidence, report of
findings and recommendations of the City Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the
13th day of January, 2004, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the Civic Center as the
place for a public hearing on said proposed Amendment No. 2003-00413 and did give notice
thereof in the manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing and
did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and
reports and did consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that Amendment No.
2003-00413 changing the land use designation in the aforedescribed area in accordance with
Exhibit "A" on file with the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Amendment No. 2003-00413 to the General Plan changing the land use
designation for the aforedescribed area to "Medium Density Residential" in accordance with
Exhibit "A" on file with the City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be, and it is hereby,
instructed to amend the General Plan Map to conform to General Plan Amendment No. 2003-
00413 as herein adopted and approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 13th day of January, 2004, by the following vote:
