RESOLUTION NO. 98R- 133
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 94R-150 WHICH
ESTABLISHED PAY POLICIES FOR CLASSIFICATIONS
ASSIGNED TO EXECUTIVE, ADMINISTRATIVE, MIDDLE
MANAGEMENT, SUPERVISORY AND PROFESSIONAL GROUPS
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated
June 9, 1998, that Resolution No. 94R-150 be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth
effective June 26, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending
Resolution No. 94R-150 is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 94R-150
which established Pay Policies for classifications assigned to Executive, Administrative, Middle
Management, Supervisory and Professional.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
1. That, Section 1.7, Reduction in Pay, of the Management Pay Policies be deleted in
its entirety.
2. That, Section 1.8, Acting Pay, of the Management Pay Policies be deleted in its
entirety.
2. That, Section 1.9, Reclassification, of the Management Pay Policies be renumbered
to Section 1.7.
3. That, Section 1.10, Provisional Appointments, of the Management Pay Policies be
renumbered to Section 1.8 and read as follows:
"'lc4G1.8
Provizional Acting Appointments
1.101 Employees provisionally appointod to a job classification assigned to the
Executive, ^dministrative or Middle Management Groupz shall be eligible to
serve in a provisional capacity no longer than twonty six (26) complete biweekly
pay periods.
1.102 Employees assigned to the Supervisory or Professional Groups shall be
eligible to serve in a Provisional capacity no longer than thirteen (13) complete
biweekly pay periods.
4-400 1.81 For purposes of computing the appropriate pay rate, tAese
employees Acting Appointments shall be considered either new appointments or

promotions, whichever applies. If the employee is placed in the position through
a competitive process after serving provisionally in an actinq capacity, the action
will be a status change from Provisional Acting to Probationary and the merit
review date will remain the same.
4. That, Section 1.11, Upgrade, of the Management Pay Policies be renumbered to
Section 1.9.
5. That, Section 1.12, Payment of Premium Pay Under Certain Conditions, of
Management Pay Policies be renumber to Section 1.10.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be June
26, 1998.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as amended herein, Resolution No.
94R-150 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council this
