A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ELECTING
TO RECEIVE ALLOCATION OF TAXES PURSUANT TO
THE CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT LAW
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Law (Sections
33000 et seq., of the California Health and Safety Code)(the
"Law") provides that any affected taxing agency, such as the CITY
OF ANAHEIM ("the City"), may elect to be allocated, in addition to
that portion of taxes allocated to the City pursuant to
subdivision (a) of Section 33670 of the Law, all or any portion of
the tax revenues allocated to a Redevelopment Agency pursuant to
subdivision (b) of said Section 33670 attributable to the
following: (1) increases in the rate of tax imposed for the
benefit of the City which occur after the tax year in which a
redevelopment plan becomes effective; and (2) increases in the
assessed value of the taxable property in the redevelopment
project area, as the assessed value is established by the
assessment roll last equalized prior to the date of the ordinance
adopting the Redevelopment Plan, which are calculated pursuant to
Subdivision (f) of Section 110.1 of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim hereby elects to be
allocated, in addition to the portion of taxes allocated to the
City pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 33670 of the
California Health and Safety Code, all of the tax revenues
allocated to the Katella Redevelopment Project, pursuant to
subdivision (b) of said Section 33670 attributable to the
following increases in the rate of tax imposed for benefit of the
City which levy occurs after the tax year in which the ordinance
adopting the redevelopment plan for the Katella Redevelopment
Project becomes effective:
(1) Increases in the rate of tax imposed for he
benefit of the City which occur after the tax year in which a
redevelopment plan becomes effective; and
(2) Increases in the assessed value of the
taxable property in the redevelopment project area, as the
assessed value ts established by the assessment roll last
equalized prior to the date of the ordinance adopting the
redevelopment plan, which are calculated pursuant to
Subdivision (f) of Section 110.1 of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to file forthwith certified copies of this Resolution
with the governing body of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, the
City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, and the Office of the Auditor-
Controller and the Tax Collector for the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th day of July, 1987.
