In 2018 I moved to Anaheim to take a job with the USPS and have been living in my van ever since. I reached out to City Net after calling 211 Orange County to assist me with finding affordable housing since I was employed. The intake person constantly tried to get me to move into a shelter, but I didn't want to do that since I was employed and had a roof over my head even though it was a van. I felt that the shelter should be reserved for a homeless person who did not have a roof over their head. She pushed me so much I snapped at her. Every since then City Net didn't confirm a meeting I scheduled a few months ago. When the governor closed the gyms 3 times, I no longer had a place to shower. This is when I begin looking for a place in a shelter, but was told only City Net and Anaheim PD are the only ones to get me in. The problem with that is City Net seems to be ignoring me, and Anaheim PD is clueless when I asked more than one of them. I am a 62 black woman who work a night with the USPS and days with the Salvation Army since January but still could not get in their shelter. The gyms are open now, but I still am looking for affordable housing. What are the requirements for renting one of the new units? Are the people in the shelter get first priority? What are my chances of renting one of these units? Can you send me an application to Anaheim CA 92817, Also, could you provide other housing options? Sincerely, Sandra D. Crumbley
