Anaheim Ballet
Dear mayor Sidhu and council Members,
I have been going to anaheim ballet since I was 8 years old. I still remember going to watch my sister
and I knew that it was something I wanted to do in the future so I signed up when I was 6, and the day I
turned 8 I went and asked and 4 days later I was in the class. That studio has been around since I can
remember and it would be really sad to see it get torn down.
During these hard times, when the pandemic hit, they still found ways to keep in touch. We had zoom
classes and then we had class outside socially distanced. Even though it's only 45 minutes it really helps
to calm me down. It relaxes me and I think it has helped me a lot to keep calm and controlled. It's one of
the few times during the day that I can be in a relaxing environment and it helps me get through the rest
of the day. Ballet is important to me because it helps me with my emotional and physical health. Not
only does it help me but I have fun. The staff and teachers are friendly and welcoming. I'm not afraid to
ask questions or talk to them. They always ask how our day is going and make us laugh.
We are a dance family. COVID-19 has taken enough from us please don't take another of the things we
love. Thank you for your time. I hope you will consider voting in support of the cooperative agreement
with Anaheim ballet.
Sincerely
Yesenia Gonzalez
