A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER WHOSE BID BEST RESPONDS IN QUALITY,
FITNESS AND CAPACITY, FOR ALL LEGAL ADVERTISING
REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE PUBLISHED IN A NEWSPAPER
OF GENERAL CIRCULATION, PRINTED AND PUBLISHED
OUTSIDE THE CITY, BUT IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to
wit: Anaheim Bulletin, on the 23rd and 30th days of July, 1964,
a notice inviting sealed proposals for furnishing the following
legal advertising:
For all legal advertising to be done by the
City of Anaheim, required by law to be published
in a newspaper of general circulation, printed
and published outside the City, but in the
County of Orange, for the year commencing
August 1, !964~ and ending July 31, 1965, in
conformity with the specifications for such
advertising~ which specifications are marked
and designated '~Specifications for Printing
and Advertising of the City of Anaheim,
Series of 1959,f' on file in nhe Office of the
City Clerk of the City of Anaheim.
AND WHEREAS, said notice inviting sealed proposals
for said legal advertising did provide that sealed proposals
would be received by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
at the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim up to
the hour of 1:30 o'clock P.M., on the 4th day of August, 1964,
for the furnishing of all legal advertising to be done by the
City, required by law to be published in a newspaper of general
circulation, printed and published outside the City but in the
County of Orange, for the year commencing August 1, 1964, and
ending July 31, 1965; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim did
receive the following sealed proposals prior to 1:30 o'clock
P.M. on the 4th day of August, 1964, in response to the notice
aforesaid inviting sealed proposals, to wit:

AND WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the sealed
proposal submitted by Placentia Courier, 132 West Santa Fe Avenue,
Placentia, California, is the lowest responsible proposal sub-
mitted that best responds in quality, fitness and capacity for

the furnishing of all legal advertising to be done by the City,
required by law to be published in a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed and published outside the City but in the
County of Orange; that it conforms with the specifications
for said advertising on file in the Office of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim, as specified in the notice inviting
sealed proposals; and that the person, firm or corporation
submitting said proposal is a responsible person, firm or corpo-
ration, and that the proposal of said above-named bidder should
be accepted and a contract awarded to said bidder in accordance
therewith.
NOW, T~IEKEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the sealed proposal submitted by
Placentia Courier, 132 West Santa Fe Avenue, Placentia, Cali-
fornia, for the furnishing of all legal advertising to be done
by the City of Anaheim, required by law to be published in a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published outside
the City but in the County of Orange, for the year commencing
August 1, 1964, and ending July 31, 1965, in conformity with the
specifications on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim and the notice inviting sealed proposals be,
and the same is hereby accepted, and that a contract for said
legal advertising be, and the same is hereby, awarded to the
said above-named bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said successful
bidder shall be, and it is hereby, required to execute a con-
tract in the required form with the City of Anaheim upon the
terms and conditions specified in the notice inviting sealed
proposals and the proposal submitted by said successful bidder,
and in accordance with the specifications on file with the City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim and with the terms, conditions and
provisions of this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER ~SOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby, author-
ized and directed to make, execute and enter into, for and on
behalf of the City of Anaheim, a written contract with said
successful bidder for the furnishing of said legal advertising,
as hereinabove more particularly described, upon the terms and
conditions as specif{ed in the notice inviting sealed proposals~
the speczricat_ons on file in the Office of the City Clerk of
the City of Anaheim and in strict accordance with the terms,
conditions and provisions of this resolution, and in accordance
with all of the contract documents herein specified.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this llth day of August, 1964.
