NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUANCE
Notice is hereby given that the following public hearings of the Anaheim Planning Commission scheduled for March 16, 2020 are being continued to April 13, 2020 at 5:00 P.M:
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2013-05702A AND VARIANCE NO. 2014-04989A (DEV2017-00008): Proposed: The applicant requests approval of an amendment to a conditional use permit to permit the expansion of an existing hookah lounge and restaurant within a multi-tenant commercial center with fewer parking spaces than required by the Municipal Code (Nara Bistro). Project Location: This 2.27-acre property is located at 1220 South Brookhurst Street, at the southeast corner of Brookhurst Street and Ball Road. Environmental Determination: The Planning Commission will consider whether the proposed action is Categorically Exempt from the requirements to prepare additional environmental documentation per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15301, Class 1 (Existing Facilities). CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 3566A AND VARIANCE NO. 2020-05136 (DEV2019-00124): Proposed: The applicant requests approval to amend a conditional use permit to replace an 80-foot high freeway-oriented freestanding sign and freestanding monument signs at the Anaheim Plaza shopping Center, and a variance to exceed the maximum number of tenant panels for the freeway-oriented pylon sign. Project Location: The 48.7-acre shopping center is located at 510 North Euclid Street and the subject 80-foot tall monument sign is 946 feet southeast of Euclid Street. Environmental Determination: The Planning Commission will consider whether the proposed action is Categorically Exempt from the requirements to prepare additional environmental documentation per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15302, Class 2 (Replacement or Reconstruction). CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2019-06047 AND VARIANCE NO. 2020-05137 (DEV2019-00165): Proposed: The applicant requests approval of a conditional use permit to permit a smoking lounge in a commercial tenant space located less than 200 feet from a residential zone and less than 1,000 feet from a school and a variance to permit less parking spaces than required by the Muncipal Code. Project Location: The 0.57-acre commercial property is located at 2780 West Ball Road, approximately 190 feet east of the centerline of Dale Avenue. Environmental Determination: The Planning Commission will consider whether the proposed action is Categorically Exempt from the requirements to prepare additional environmental documentation per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15301, Class 1 (Existing Facilities). ZONING CODE AMENDMENT NO. 2020-00169 AND ADJUSTMENT NO. 2 TO THE BEACH BOULEVARD SPECIFIC PLAN NO. 2017-1 (SPN2017-00001B), (DEV2020-00001): Proposed: A City-initiated Zoning Code Amendment to reflect recent changes in State law related to Accessory Dwelling Units. The proposed amendment would modify Chapters 18.04 (Single-Family Residential Zones); 18.06 (Multiple-Family Residential Zones); 18.14 (Public and Special-Purpose Zones); 18.36 (Types of Uses); 18.38 (Supplemental Use Regulations); 18.40 (General Development Standards); 18.42 (Parking and Loading); 18.92 (Definitions); and 18.122 (Beach Boulevard Specific Plan No. 2017-1 (SP 2017-1) Zoning and Development Standards) of Title 18 (Zoning) of the Anaheim Municipal Code. Project Location: Citywide. Environmental Determination: The Planning Commission will consider whether the proposed action is exempt from the requirements to prepare additional environmental documentation per Public Resources Code Section 21080.17 and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Sections 15061(b)(3); 15301, Class 1 (Existing Facilities); and, 15303, Class 3 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures).
