with the City Council of abe City of Anaheim requesting the con-
sent of the City Council to the commencement of proceedings for
the annexation of certain ~.nhabited territory, more particularly
hereinafteT~ described to the City of Anaheim pursuant to the pro-
visions of the Annexation Act of 1913 (Title IV~ Division 2, Par~i-
2~ Chapter i, Articles i to ~, inclusive, of the Government Code
~>f California); and
WHER~iS, ~he City Council did on the 4th day of February,
196~, refer said reqt~esg and application to the City Planning
Commission; and
W~iiEAS: on ci~e ~p=h day of February, 1964, the City
Council d~d receive from ;abe City Planning Commission its
recommendation approving the proposed annexation; and
W]imKEAS, said City Council did, on the 19th day of May,
1964, adop~ ]!esolution No. 6~R-356 giving its consent to the
commencement of said annexation proceedings; and
WHER~S, the proposal for the annexation of said terri-
cory to uhe City of Anaheim has been submitted to the Boundary
Commission of the County of orange for its report to the propo-
nents with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the
proposed boundaries; chat said Boundary Commission has reported
upon the petition or proceedings within twenty (20) days after
it was submitted to 5_~; and
WHEkEA$, ~he proposal for the annexation of said terri-
tory to the City of Anaheim has been submitted to the Local
Agency Annexation Commission of the County of Orange and has been
approved by said Local Agency Annexation Commission; and
I~EREAS, on che 25th day of May, 1964, said proponents
did publish a notice of intention to circulate a petition for
the annexation of the hereinafter described property to the City
of Anaheim, and within ten. (10) days thereafter did file with
· the City Clerk of the City' of Anaheim a copy of such notice of
intention no ci~culate a petition for the annexation to the City
of Anaheim of said terrStory, which notice contained the names
of the proponents intending to circulate the petition and the
specific ~oundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed,
accompanied by a printed statement, not exceeding five hundred
(500) words in length, co~ttaining reasons for the petition,
together with an affidavit: of the publication of said notice of
intention to circulate said petition; and

said notice of intention uo circulate said petition, accompanied
by said affidavit of ~uol~.cation, the City Council did, on the
3rd day of June, 1964, adopt Kesolution No. 64R-407 finding and
determining that it would be to the advantage and for the best
interest of the City of Anaheim and the qualified electors
residing within the.. hereinafter described territory, to approve
the circulation of a petition for the annexation of said terri-
tory to the City of Anaheim and did thereupon approve 'the
circulation of said petition; and
WHEREAS, on ute ?'th day of july, 1964, the City Council
did receive a petition signed by not less than one-fourth of the
qualified electors residing within the territory hereinafter
described, as shown by the County ~%egistration of Voters, con-
taining a description ol Ute new territory proposed to be annexed
r_o the City of Anaheim and asking that said territory be annexed
tc the City; and the City Council does find and determine that

That parcel of land, located in the County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows'
Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim as established
by the Wagner-Sunkist Annexation passed by Ordinance Noo 1616, September 5, 1961 and
filed with the Secretary of State October 5, 1961 and recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of Orange County, California, October 9~ 1961, said point of beginning
being the most Southeasterly corner of the aforementioned Wagner-Sunkist Annexation,
said Southeasterly corner being the intersection of the Southerly prolongation of the
East line of the West half of the Southeast quarter of Section 13, Township 4 South,
Range l0 West~ S,B~B, & M~, with a line parallel with and 30,00 feet Southerly as
measured at right angles from the North line of the Northeast quarter of Section 24,
Township 4 South? Range 10 West, S~B~B~ & M~ ~ said parallel line also being the Southerly
right of way line of Ball Road, 60~00 feet in width~ thence
Following along a portioo of the existing City of Anaheim City Limit line as established
by said Wagner-Sunkist Annexation the following courses and distances~ North O0° 13'
East 2,650 feet, more or less~ along the said Southerly prolongation and along the ~aid
East line of the West half of the Southeast quarter of Section 13, to an intersection
with a line parallel with and 20~00 feet Southerly as measured at right angles from the
North line of the Southeast quarter of said Section 13; thence South 89° 54' East 1,350
feet, more or less, along the last mentioned parallel line and the Easterly prolongation
thereof to an intersection with a line parallel with and 30.00 feet easterly as measured
at right angles from the West line of the Southwest quarter of Section 18, Township 4
South, Range 9 West~ S,B.B~ & M,, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Aha, as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 5l~ page I0 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California; thence
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it does hereby declare its intention
to call a special election for the purpose of submitting to the
electors residing in the hereinabove described new territory,
the.questiou whether said new territory shall_be annexed to,
incorporated in, and made a part of the City of Anaheim and the
property therein be, after such annexation, subject to taxation
equally with the property within said City of Anaheim, to pay
its pro rata share, based upon assessed valuation, of all of
the bonded indebtedness of said City of Anaheim outstanding or
authorized as of the date of the first publication of the
~otice of special election, or theretofore authorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the territory so proposed
to be a~nexed shall be designated as WAGNER-RIO VISTA
ANNEXATION ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 4th day of August
_, 19 6~, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the
City Council Chamber of the City Hall in the City of Anaheim be,
and the same is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place when
and where any person owning real property within the territory
so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the
proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council of the
City of Ar~aheim and show cause why such territory should not be
so annexed; that all persons having any objections to such
proposed annexation are hereby notified to appear on said day,
at said hour and place, to show cause, if any they have, why
such territory should not be so annexed, and all such persons
are further notified that any protests against the calling of
an election to submit to the electors residing within said
territory the question of annexation of said territory to the
City of ANaheim, or any protests against the annexation of said
territory to the City of Anaheim must be in writing and may be
filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim at any time
not later than the hour and date set forth herein for the hearing
of objections to said election.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least
once a week for two successive weeks prior to the date herein-
above fixed for the hearing of protests and objections to said
election and the annexation of said territory to the City of
Anaheim in a newspaper of general circulation published in the
territory proposed to be annexed, or if there is none, in a
newspaper of general circulation published in the City of
Anaheim.
