RESOLUTION NO. 64R-271
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR, AND
B IRECTING THE ACQUISITION BY EMINENT DOMAIN
OF, REAL PROPERTY FOR STADIUM COMPLEX, SPORTS
ARENA AND ASSOCIATED PARKING PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition, improvement and maintenance of a public improvement
within the City of Anaheim, to wit: a stadium complex, sports
arena and associated parking; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition by the City
of Anaheim of all that certain real property herein described
for the improvement and maintenance of a stadium complex, sports
arena and associated parking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of that certain real property in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, more particu-
larly described as follows, to wit:
PARCEL 42:
That parcel of land, being a portion of the land located
in the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of that certain parcel
of land conveyed to Clarice C. Keefe, as Parcel #2, in
deed recorded September 23, 1905 in Book 175, page 161
of Deeds records of Orange County, California; thence
South 89~ '
46 East 88.57 feet, more or le~s to an
intersection with a line bearing North 18 g8' 15" East
as described in the deed to the State of California re-
corded July 10, 1914 in Book 258, page 53 of Deeds,
records of Orange County, California; thence South 18°
48' 15" West 203.37 feet, more or less; thence North 89°
46' West 23.01 feet, more or less; thence North 192.50
feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 43:
That portion of the land allotted to A. B. Chapman in
Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana,
recorded in Book B of Judgments of the 17th Judicial
District Court of California, in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of that certain parcel
of land conveyed to Clarice C. Keefe, as Parcel #2, in
deed recorded September 23, 1905, in Book 175, page 161 of
Deeds, records of Orange County, California; thence North
89° 46' West a distance of 132.00 feet; thence South
647.76 feet, more or less, to an intersection with a line

bearing North 18° 48' 15" East as described in the deed to
the State of California, recorded July 10, 1914 in. Book
258, page 53 of Deeds, records of Orange County, Cali-
fornia; thence North 18° 48' 15" East a distance of 409.52
feet, more or less; thence North 260.10 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 44:
That parcel of land being a portion of land located in
the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, re-
cords of Orange County, California,_ described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of that parcel of land
conveyed to Clarice C. Keefe as Parcel ~2 in deed recorded
September 23, 1905 in Book 175, page 161 of Deeds, records
of Orange County, California; thence South 192.50 feet
to the true point of beginning of the ~arcel of land
hereinafter described; thence South 89- 46' East 23.01
feet, more or less, to an intersection with a line bear-
ing North 18° 48' 15" East as described in the deed to
the State of California recorded July 10, 1914 in
Book 258, page 53 of Deeds, records of Orange County,
California; thence South 18° 48' 15" West 71.40 feet,
more or less; thence North 67.60 feet, more or less, to
the true point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity re-
quire the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim for
the improvement and maintenance of the aforesaid project, and
that the taking of the property hereinabove described is neces-
sary therefor, and that the use to which it is to be applied
is a use authorized by law and the taking of said property is
necessary to such use.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the acquisition of
said property by the City of Anaheim be, and it is hereby authori-
zed and the City Attorney be, and he is hereby directed to
acquire the same by an action in eminent domain, or otherwise,
for the acquisition of fee title to said property, and to perform
and carry out all of the necessary proceedings and steps inci-
dent to the acquisition of the title to said property.
