A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED
UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON MARCH 26,
1964, FOR PUBLIC WORKS JOB NO. 777.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 3rd day of March,
1964, the City Council of the City of Anaheim. did adopt Resolu-
tion No. 64R-141 finding and determining that public convenience
and necessity required the construction and completion of a
public improvement consisting of the construction of Lighting
and Power Distribution Systems for the Loara High School
Tennis Courts at 1765 West Cerritos Avenue, in the City of
Anaheim, Job No. 777; and
P~EREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation,
including power, fuel and water and performing all work neces-
sary to construct and complete said public improvement, and
fixing the 26th day of March, 1964 at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the
Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 26th day of March, 1964, at the
~our of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer
did open all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
tabulate all bids so received and did report the result thereof
to the City Council at its next regular meeting held on the 31st
day of March, 1964; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement, and that said bids should be rejected
and the plans for said lighting and power distribution systems
for said tennis courts altered, and. said job re-advertised at
a later date.
NOW, TEEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of ti~e City of Anaheim ~i~at all bids received up to the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on March 26, 1964, tabulated by the City
Engineer, and submitted to the Council on March 31, 1964, for
the construction of Lighting and Power Distribution Systems for
~he Loara High School Tennis Courts at 1765 West Cerritos Avenue,
in uhe City of j~ai~eim, Job No. 777, be, and the same are hereby
rejected; and that the plans for said public improvement be
altered, and said job r~-advertised at a later date.
