TO PtBLISH A NOTICE INVITING SEALE'D PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THE~OF~ WHER~,',A$~ public convenience and necessity require the construction and completion of a pub!i,c improvement in the City o~ A~naheim~ to wi~° The Improvement of the Park Site at Underhill Ave- nue and Sunkist Street, in the City of Anaheim, consisting of excavation, including compacted em- bankment and disposal; construction of 3-inch and variable thickness A.C. pavement, including paint binder, weed killer, fog seal coat and saw cutting; construction of Portland Cement Concrete curb, alley gutter, walks, walls and slabs; removal of Portland Cement Concrete curb and gutter; imported borrow, and appurtenant work as more particularly set forth in the plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Job No. 804. Aix~'D WPiEREAS~ the City Council. inst~'uc-ted the Public Works Department to prepare detailed ~gns~ ~~~'~i~)~' drawing5 ~n~spacifications~ and estimates of quantit:ies and co~ts, and make ~ecessary surveys for the con- .~truction of said public improvement.; and WLHEREAS ~ s aid Public Wc~ ks Department has prepared said detail~d ~esigns :~ p'.~~:, profiles, drawings and specifications for the construction of said public improvement and has submi'[.te.d the same to the City Council~ and WHEREAS~ the City Council finds that the detailed designs?? plans~ pro.fi, ie:~, drawings and specifications for said public improvement above, mentioned,? are in accordance with good engineering pra.,~tice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of the City of Anaheim and [he citizens and resi- dents in said area for {b.e Purposes for Which they are intended, and that [hey are ade. quate for the construct, ion of said public improvement and should be approved° NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE 'IT RESOLVED by the City Council of~ the. City of Anahe:im that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve- ~ep~t hereinabove mentioned and described, be, and the same are. hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public Works Department 0 " AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve- ment s'hall be constructed in accordance with said detailed desigr~s, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prep. areal by said Public Works Department and hereby ~pprov.ad, and such addenda or modifications thereto as may be ~proved prior to the awarding of bids therefor. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed tc publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant~ labor, services, materials and equipment~ and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to cor~.struct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in ~t.~-ict accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, C .... aw~ngs and specifications as prepared by said Public Works D_~partment , the public improvement hereinabove ~e~n~.ione~ and desdribed, and fixing the I9th day of March ~ 1964 , at the hour of 2:~00 o'clock PoM. as ~.~r fo-~e opening of said bids at the City .~©un~.'il Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and :~:b~t said r~otice shall, be published twice, the first of which t>ub'iications shall, be at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications ~.k~.i be at least five (5) days apart.
