RESOLUTION NO. 64R- 6~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR, AND
DIRECTING THE ACQUISITION, BY EMINENT DOMAIN,
OF REAL PROPERTY FOR HIGHWAY EASEMENT AND
PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition of certain real property within the City of Anaheim
for the following purposes, to wit: highway easement and public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition of all
that certain real property herein described, by the City of
Anaheim for highway easement and public utility purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of that certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, more
particularly described as follows: to wit:
An easement for highway and public utility purposes
over, under and across a strip of land 60 feet wide,
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, being a portion of the South half
of the West half of the Southwest quarter of the
Northeast quarter of Section 13, Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, S.B.B. & M., lying 30 feet on
each side of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line
of Shields Drive, 60 feet wide, with the North
line of Tract 2864, as said intersection is shown
on the map of said tract recorded in Book 88,
pages 20 and 21 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
said Orange County; thence North 0° 16' 07" West
0.07 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave Southwesterly and having a radius of
300 feet; thence Northwesterly along said curve,
through a central angle of 1° 30' 55" an arc
distance of 7.93 feet to a point on the South
line of Tract 2755, as shown on a Map recorded
in Book 112, pages 31 and 32 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of said Orange County, said last
mentioned point being also the point of inter-
section of the South line of said Tract 2755,
with the centerline of said Shields Drive,
64 feet wide, as shown on said last mentioned
map.
The side lines of said 60 foot strip shall be
shortened or lengthened so as to terminate at
the North line of said Tract 2864 and at the
South line o£ said Tract 2755.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
find and determine that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim for the
aforesaid purposes, and that the taking of the property herein-
above described is necessary therefor, and that the uses to
which it is to be put are uses authorized by law, and the taking
of said property is necessary to such uses.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
authorize the acquisition of said property by the City of Ana-
heim, and the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim is hereby
directed to institute an action in eminent domain for the acqui-
sition of the title to said property, and to perform and carry
out all of the necessary proceedings and steps incident to the
acquisition of the title to said property and to obtaining
immediate possession thereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 4th day of February, 1964.
