T0 PLB~IS~ A NOTICE INVITING SEALED FROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THE~OFo WHEREA:$,, publi~ convenience and necessity require the constr~ction and completion of a public improvement in the City o~ g_naheim~, to wit'~ O The Improvement of Harbor Boulevard, from Chestnut Street to Broadway, in the City of Anaheim, cons ts- tin9 of excavation, tncludtn.q compacted embankment; construction of 3-inch and variable thickness A.C. pavement, includin9 paint binder and fo9 seal coat, 6 inches of a99re.gate base; construction of Portland Cement Concrete curb and §utter, sidewalk and drive- way, 12-inch, 15- inch and 18-inch Reinforced Concrete Oipe culvert, two catch basins, two junction-struc- tures and two 'fOrt land Cement Concrete collars; removal of Portland Cement Concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and miscellaneous items; relocation of traf- fic signal equipment, and appurtenant work as more particularly set forth in the plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Job No. 8l~0. AiX;D WPJ~REAS, the City Council instructed the Public Works .D~~. to prepare detailed ~.signs~- ~ans,~ p~>~ies~ drawings =an~'sp.acifications~ and estimates of quantit:ies and co:stg~ ~nd make necessary surveys for the con- struction of sai~ public improvement; .and k~.EREA. ,g .aid Pub I i c Wo r~~tmen t has prapare, d said specificattio,~ for the con=truc:tion of said public improvement and has submirte, d t:he same to the City Council.; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed .? ~ ~' drawings and specifications for said de s ii gns p 1 an $ ,~ p r ~ f ~..~ e .s ~ public improvement above mentioned, are i.n accordance with good engineering pract~ice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of the City of' A~,~ahe.im and the citizens and resi- dents in s.aid area for {b.e purposes for which they are intended, and that they are adequate for tbe construction of said public improvement and should be approvedo NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve- ~ent hereinabove mentioned and described, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Pub ltc 3iO_E=k$ Dc pa r tm¢ nt o AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve- me%~t shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed de, signs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said Public Works Department and hereby ~pproved, and such addenda' or modifications thereto as may be ~pproved prior to the awarding of bids therefor. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals f~or the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to c©r~$truct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in :~.tric~ accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said Public work~ __D~P~_?_tment , the public improvement hereinabove mer~tioned and described, and fixing the 27~h day of ~_~b_r_~_~ry , 19. 6_~_~, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as r~he date an~ hOur for the opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and ~h.~t said notice shall be published twice, the first of which t.~ublications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date ~ixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications ~haii be at least five (5) days apart.
