RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 90
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2001R-57 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF
COMPENSATION FOR JOB CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS CONFIDENTIAL
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated
May 25, 2004, that Resolution No. 2001 R-57 be amended in the manner set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending Resolution
No. 2001 R-57 is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 2001 R-57,
which established rates of compensation for job classifications designated as Confidential.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
Section 1 of Resolution No. 2001 R-57 be amended to read as follows:
1. That. Section 1 of Resolution No. 2001 R-57 be amended to reflect new rates of
compensation for Confidential job classes as stated below:
"Section 1.
That, effective December 31, 2004, the basic compensation plan for all officers and
employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed in
any of the classifications listed below shall be allocated to the following salary schedules in the
Salary Schedule Master:

2. That, Section 4 of Resolution No. 2001 R-57 be amended to reflect the new rate of
compensation for bilingual skills for Confidential job classes, effective the first day of the pay
period following a competency review; and to read as follows:
"Section 4.
Employees required to speak, read and/or write in Spanish or other languages, as well
as English, as part of the regular duties of their position, will be compensated at the rate of five
percent (5%) of base pay, but not less than sixty dollars ($60.00) per biweekly pay period, in
addition to their regular pay as provided under Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of said amendment to Resolution
No. 2001 R-57 shall be the date of adoption by City Council.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as amended herein, Resolution No.
2001 R-57 shall remain in full force and effect.
