A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM V ACA TING A PORTION OF PHILADELPHIA
STREET AND ADJACENT PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED SOUTH
OF CENTER STREET AND NORTH OF BROADWAY
(Abandonment No. 2003-00()7S)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, by Resolution No. 2003R-
231, duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate certain public streets, highways or public service
easements pursuant to the Public Streets. Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said vacation was posted and
published in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of January, 2004, a public hearing was held to allow
interested persons to submit evidence concerning said proposed vacation.
WHEREAS, the abandonment approved herein does not convey right, title and
interest to the abandoned property, which is conveyed by separate quitclaim deed pursuant hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOL VED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion of Philadelphia Street and adjacent public
alley located south of Center Street and north of Broadway in the City of Anaheim.
See Exhibit" A ", attached hereto, for the legal description of the foregoing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL VEl) that the vacation authorized by this Resolution shall
not be effective until a certified copy of this Resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized
and dIrected to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of the County of Orange.

Parcel 1 - Portion of Philadelphia Street
That portion of Philadelphia Street bounded as follows:
Northerly by the southerly line of Center Street, being a line 45 feet southerly of
the centerline of said Center Street as shown on the map of Tract No. 14267
recorded in Book 681 Pages 46 and 47 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County;
Southerly by a line described as follows:
Beginning at a City of Anaheim well monument at the centerline intersection of
Broadway and Philadelphia Street as it existed on April 1, 2004; thence along the
centerline of said Philadelphia Street North 14°23'59" West, 298,37 feet; thence
westerly at right angles to said centerline of Philadelphia Street, South 75°36'01
West, 21.00 feet; thence South 14°23'59" East, 19.00 feet; thence South
75°36'01" West, 9.00 feet to the westerly line of said Philadelphia Street and the
True Point of BeQinninQ; thence North 75°36'01" East, 9,00 feet; thence North
14°23'59" West, 19,00 feet; thence North 75°36'01" East, 21.00 feet to said
centerline of Philadelphia Street; thence along said centerline, South 14°23'59"
East, 15.00 feet; thence easterly at right angles to said centerline, North

That portion of the first alley northerly of Broadway and easterly of Philadelphia Street
bounded as follows:
Westerly by the easterly line of Philadelphia Street, 60 feet wide;
Easterly by the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of the first north-south
Alley, 20 feet wide, easterly of Philadelphia Street.
As shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and by this reference and made a part hereof
RESERVING THEREFROM, unto the City of Anaheim an EASEMENT for Public Utility

of that certain vacation described as Parcel 1 of Resolution No, 83R-112 of the City
Council of the City of Anaheim adopted on March 22, 1983 and recorded April 5, 1983
as Instrument No. 83-142098, Official Records of said County.
As shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and by this reference and made a part hereof
RESERVING THEREFROM, unto the City of Anaheim an EASEMENT for trash
collection and emergency vehicles in, over, under, on, above, along, and across the
westerly 165 feet of the above-described Parcel 4, together with all rights of ingress and
egress thereto, including the right to enter onto said easement at any time and from time
to time, with such vehicles, machinery, and equipment as may be necessary or
convenient to the City of Anaheim, its agents or assigns for any and all purposes herein
mentioned,
ALSO RESERVING THEREFROM, unto the City of Anaheim an EASEMENT for Public
