In discussing with Julie, we feel that it would be better if we write the same statement on the permit and the inspection
card rather than referring to a separate letter. That way, when and if a future owner reviews the building permit
records, he/she would find the statement on the permit record. We believe a separate letter can be easily lost and
forgotten after few years.

Chris: Following is suggested language. I believe you may have to indicate that there is a reservation but state
the reservation in a separate letter. The final permit would make a general statement and then refer to an
attached letter - that would remain in your building permit file -- as follows:
On the final inspection paperwork place an aserisk and state: "*This final approval is subject to City's
sewer easement (see attached letter dated )." The attached letter would be addressed to
owners and state: "Please be advised that the kitchen and room addition to property at 101 Summertree
Lane (the "Property") has encroached upon a recorded 10 foot sanitary sewer easement dedicated to the
City December 3,1976 on Tract No. 8409, in Book 391, Pages 32, 33 and 34 of Miscellaeous Maps
(sewer easement). This sanitary sewer consists of an eight inch vitreous clay pipe, seven feet below
ground, located five feet from the southerly line of the Property, running along the southerly Property
boundary. Should it be necessary for the City to access its sewer easement, such access may entail
entering in, upon, along, under or across the encroaching structure. Such access may entail damage to

The 8" Yitreous Clay Pipe (YCP) sewer is located 5' from the owner's southerly property line
and runs along the owner's southerly property boundary and is 7' below ground.
