A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, GENERAL UNIT, AND THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association,
General Unit, have met and conferred and reached an agreement with respect to certain terms
and conditions of employment for represented employees; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit is in
agreement with the recommendation contained in said Letter of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated May 22, 2006,
between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interest
of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
the Letter of Understanding dated May 22, 2006, between the Anaheim Municipal Employees
Association, General Unit and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 30th day of May 2006.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
between the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, GENERAL EMPLOYEES
and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Anaheim Municipal Employees Association (AMEA), General Employees, and the City of
Anaheim (ANAHEIM) have met and conferred and agreed to certain amendments to the Memorandum of
Understanding that is in effect from July 1, 2005 through January 8, 2009. Specifically, the parties have
agreed to the following terms and conditions:
1. Appendix "A" Wages of the Memorandum of Understanding shall be amended to reflect general wage
adjustments of:
➢ One percent (1 %) effective June 2, 2006;
One percent (1 %) effective December 1, 2006;
Two and one -half percent (2 1 /2 %) effective January 12, 2007;
Two and three - quarters percent (2 3 /4%) effective February 8, 2008; and
➢ Four percent (4 %) effective January 9, 2009.
2. Special market realignment adjustments in addition to the one percent (1 %) general wage
adjustment shall be made to the following benchmark classifications effective June 2, 2006:

3. Article 60 of the Memorandum of Understanding shall be amended to read:

DURATION
64.1 The terns of this Memorandum of Understanding are to remain in full force and effect until the
e- 2 th day of January, 2002010. Upon adoption of resolution approving this Memorandum,
and the terms hereof by the city Council of the City of Anaheim, this Memorandum shall be in
full force and effect as of the 1 day of July, 2005.
4. Except as modified herein, all other terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding
dated July 1, 2005 through January 8, 2009 and extended to January 7, 2010 shall remain in full force
and effect.
