ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST:
James Marston, 2148 S. Melrose Street, Anaheim, 92805. He read his letter
dated May 12, 1992, publicly thanking staff of the Redevelopment
Agency/Housing Authority (Stipkovich, Zur Schmiede, Kupfrian, Marquez and the
late Joy Winchester) for the assistance given him and his family in helping to
transform his old house into a beautiful home. (Full-text of Mr. Marston's
letter made a part of the record). He also thanked the Council/Agency for
providing the forum in which a citizen and resident of Anaheim can stand and
speak his mind and be heard. It was approximately one-year ago when he
addressed the Council/Agency complaining about what he perceived, "...to be
the slow, bureaucratic workings of City Hall toward the goal of Redeveloping
our community by helping single-family homeowners, like ourselves, to achieve
the rehabilitation of our historic homes." Tonight, he is present to publicly
thank all those involved in assisting him and his family and thanked the Mayor
for keeping his promise.
