1. 177: Authorizing an application for 50 certificates under the Section 8

Director to execute the required certifications and application documents.
2. 177: Approving suspension of application intake (close the Waiting List
maintained to provide an eligible pool of applicants for the Section 8
Existing Certificate and Voucher Programs) except for certain categories.
Authority Member Pickler asked if it was unusual to close the waiting list.
Lisa Stipkovich, Executive Director of Community Development. She answered
that it is not and, in fact, the Anaheim Housing Authority is one of the few
in the County still open. All others are closed with the exception of one.
Typically the demand is so much greater than the supply. It creates a false
hope for people to continue to apply.
3. 177: Approving minutes of the Anaheim Housing Authority meeting held
August 23, 1994.
END OF CONSENT CALENDAR. MOTIONS CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT: Authority Member Daly moved to adjourn, Authority Member Simpson
