A complete copy of the agenda for the meeting of the Housing Authority was
posted at 1:50 p.m. on July 16, 1993 at the Civic Center kiosk, containing all
items as shown herein.
Chairman Daly called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Housing Authority to
order at 5:58 p.m.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY in the amount of
$2,930.53 for the period ending July 16, 1993, in accordance with the 1992-93
Budget, were approved.
ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST:
Mr. Richard Magdaleno. Rental housing is very high - $700 to $800. Three or
four families live in one apartment. He is a veteran. He cannot find a
decent place to live. The landlord wants $500 to $600. He cannot afford that
when he only gets a check for $700 a month. He has talked to Housing staff
but has not been helped. It is not only him, it is the people. The middle
class have to move out of the County or go to other States to see if they can
make a living because taxes are too high.
Chairman Daly. It would be helpful if staff would arrange with Mr. Michelena
to go over the Housing programs one more time. Staff is available if he wants
to pursue some of the Housing programs that the Housing Authority offers.
ADJOURNMENT: Authority Member Daly moved to adjourn, Authority Member Simpson
seconded the motion. Authority Member Hunter was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
LEONORA N. SOHL, SECRETARY
