A complete copy of the agenda for the meeting of the Anaheim Housing Authority
was posted at 11:45 a.m. on October 28, 1988 at the Civic Center kiosk,
containing all items as shown herein.
Chairman Bay called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Housing Authority to
order at 6:42 p.m.
MINUTES: Authority Member Kaywood moved to approve the minutes of the regular
meeting held September 20, 1988. Authority Member Hunter seconded the
motion. MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY in the amount of
$57.51 and $1,067.75 in Public Housing Authority Bonds, in accordance with the
1988-89 Budget, were approved.
ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST:
Mr. Olden Esping, 1639 S. Melissa Way, addressed the Authority advising that
he was a Neighborhood Watch Block Captain and as such, he had received in the
mail a letter and packet of campaign materials requesting that he walk his
district and distribute the information. Mr. Esping felt this kind of
activity was not within the scope of his duties as Block Captain, and he
objected to some of the wording in the materials concerning endorsements of
candidates. He expressed the hope that during the remainder of the campaign
for Mayor and City Council Members, the candidates would exhibit leadership
and address the issues.
ADJOURNMENT: Authority Member Bay moved to adjourn. Authority Member Kaywood
seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. (6:42 p.m.)
