Chairman Seymour called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Housing
Authority to order at 1:21 p.m.
MINUTES On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Bay, minutes of the
Anaheim Housing Authority regular meeting held January 13, 1981, were
approved. MOTION CARRIED,
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY in the amount of
$6,123 24, in accordance with the 1980 -81 Budget, were approved.
177.158: AUTHORIZATION, REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - AUTHORITY -OWNED PROPERTY
Mr. Priest reported on acquisition of two adjoining lots at the northeast
corner of Patt Street and La Palma Avenue and recommended that the
Housing Authority authorize the issuance of a Request for Proposals to
secure a developer for the construction of approximately five owner- occupied
units thereon, at the lowest possible cost, as part of the Patt Street
Neighborhood Improvement Project. He advised that FHA 235 or 245
financing authorization for the project had been released by the Federal
government.
Mrs. Kaywood inquired why the property would not accommodate six units
if it contained 19,200 square feet,
Mr. Priest pointed out that the property was a corner lot, and appropriate
site planning would allow five units comfortably. He noted the staff
would be working with the Patt Street Neighborhood Task Force and would
seek to respect their desires in the neighborhood.
Housing Manager Lisa Stipkovich noted that the Task Force had recommended
single -story construction, and the size of the lot would allow the five
three- and four - bedroom units with appropriate enclosed parking and front
and side yards.
On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Bay, issuance of a Request for
Proposals to secure a developer for the property was authorized, MOTION
CARRIED.
