ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF

by Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general description and extent of possible future development
within the City; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission directed staff to initiate an amendment to the Land
Use Element of the General Plan to redesignate subject property, described as 0.66 acre located at the
northwest corner of Lincoln Avenue and East Street with frontages of 230 feet on the north side of Lincoln
Avenue and 125 feet on the west side of East Street and further described as 4025-1109 East Lincoln

WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the

provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said General
Plan Amendment and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith;
and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due consideration, inspection, investigation and
study made by itself, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
DOES HEREBY FIND:
1. That the evidence presented substantiates the need for an amendment to the Anaheim
General Plan and that, therefore, Exhibit A should be adopted redesignating subject area for General
Commercial land use.
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City
Planning Commission has reviewed the proposal to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to
change the current land use designation from Medium Density Residential to General Commercial on a
rectangularly-shaped 0.66-acre property located at the northwest corner of Lincoln Avenue and East
Street, with frontages of 230 feet on the north side of Lincoln Avenue and 125 feet on the west side of
East Street, and further described as 1025-1109 East Lincoln Avenue; and does hereby approve the
Negative Declaration upon finding that it has considered the Negative Declaration together with any
comments received during the public review process and further finding on the basis of the initial study
and any comments received that there is no evidence that the project will have a significant effect on the
environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the above findings, the
Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend to the City Council of the City of
Anaheim adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 2001-00394 pertaining to the Land Use Element,
